Hey guys, relatively new to the motorcycle scene (around 2 years) and have noticed that my local dealers don't really do test rides (cycles 128, GBM, etc.). I emailed the guys at 128 asking about any demo days this season where I could feel out some of the newer bikes and never got a response. If this is in the wrong place, Mods, please feel free to move it. I was just wondering if you guys have heard of any scheduled demo days this summer at any of the New England area dealerships? Thanks in advance!
I know Freedom Cycles also holds them from time to time and during the Classic/Bike week...... give them a shout see what they got

Look at manufacturers websites. Most have calendars and show demo events on that.
Also bike week in NH every summer sees demo trucks from most of the big names. Especially the cruiser segments. (HD, Indian, Victory, Star, etc.) Last year half the trucks were setup @ NHMS for the whole week, which is a super convenient place to go to demo.
Bike night in Lowell also gets demo trucks during the summer sometimes. I've demo'ed Victory, Star, and Yamaha there.
Me, I'm trying to line up some KTM demos. Never seem to be in the right place at the right time.
Penguin was demoing kawis at there track events.

Thank you to my sponsors: Sidi / AMSOIL / Klutch Industries
You should have gone and demo'ed that R3 or a Road Bling in my face.
Every day is a demo day at SSC. The demo is only a few miles long so don't expect anything more substantial. If you want an Italian bike talk to Scotty.
Demo Days - Seacoast Sport Cycle
Thanks for advice guys. Definitely going to check those out. Just put in a request in for a few bikes at Seacoast Sport Cycle![]()
Got an email from Triumph USA yesterday announcing demo rides. Check with your local dealer.

Best bet would be going to NHMS in June and looking for the demo trucks. Yamaha is always there, and I rode a few of their models last year. The route they take is fun and lasts a good 25 minutes. You can ride as many as you want, but it's advisable to go at off-peak times (weekday) else you might be waiting between rides.

Sweet, Ill have to make a trip to NHMS too once I'm back
Ouu I definitely would be into that aswell. Always been a sportier bike kinda guy but my buddy let me ride his old cruiser last season and it definitely put a smile on my face. Completely different experience. What dealership is it?
Rochester HD, Rochester NH.
Seacoast Sport Cycle in Derry - any day they're open show up with a license and a helmet and ride practically anything they sell....

Any BMW dealer I've ever been to allows demo Rides. Second Wind BMW in Merrimack sells BMW and Triumph.
2005 BMW R1200RT
1988 BMW K100RS
We do demo rides on the Triumph line up at National Powersports... we'll also have an open house on 4/30. Come on out! Chat with Billy... he's our Triumph guy and can hook you up.
I've ridden Yamaha, Suzuki, KTM and BMW demo bikes. I only got to ride the KTM 390 Duke but hopefully they come back this year since I'm 25 and they will let me ride the big bikes now.
Max BMW is really nice and they let you ride their demo bikes anytime, no pressure.
Rumor has it that Triumph Demo Days are back!
Tentative schedule, events subject to change:
April 23 @ Paul Blouin Triumph - Augusta, ME
April 30 @ Concord Triumph (National Powersports) - Pembroke, NH
May 7 @ Second Wind Triumph - Merrimack, NH
May 14 @ Cycles 128 Triumph - Beverly, MA
May 21 @ Riverside Triumph - Medford, MA
May 28 @ Performance Cycles - Shrewsbury, MA
June 4 @ Triumph of Swansea - Swansea, MA
June 7 @ Motorcycle Night presented by Concord Triumph - Lowell, MA
June 11 @ Street Stuff Triumph of New England - Norwich, CT
June 18 @ Libby's Motoworld - New Haven, CT
June 25 @ Mark's Motorsports - Enfield, CT
July 2 @ Green River Triumph - Gill, MA
I'm pretty sure they're happening.
I got an email blast from Performance Cycles a week or two ago.
Yeah, I found it on performance cycle's Facebook page. My wife and I will be there Saturday. Gotta see if they'll let her ride a new bonneville, I'm surprised they aren't bringing any on the demo truck. The post just says they'll have Explorers, Trophys, Daytonas, Rocket 3s, and Thunderbirds. I wonder why the focus on the big bikes? My wife was interested in the Speed Twin and Street Triple, doesn't feel comfortable on any of the bikes they're bringing.

I would go, but I have a busted Street Triple in the garage and it's souring my view of Triumph at the moment.
Now, if Yamaha announced the FZ-10 is coming and Performance Cycles was demoing that.. Well, I'd hit the bank on the way.
