Is this going to be on big NESR-on-ducati's-event?
If so, I'll be the one there at 9am on the yellow FZR600.
See you at the movies !
Man, I should not be up this early on a Saturday, but...I am anxious to try out the Ducatis...I hope we get more than one test run.
See you guys at the theater or at the event. Too bad we don't have NESR tent so that we can all meet up.
WIL
I'll be on a 2003 Black Honda 600RR
Theirry will be on a 2004 Red Yamaha R1 with a ridiculously loud 2 Bros Slipon.
Just an FYI:
I showed up, and you only have to be 21 to ride the bikes, with your current motorcycle registration as proof of insurance.
The thing that I'm unsure about is the cost of repair if you have an accident. Does liability insurance cover it? It looks like something that would be covered under "damage to someone else's property" in that "we will pay damages to someone else whose auto...is damaged in an accident." Is that correct?
Unfortunately, I went out to get an inspection first, so when I showed up, the only bike they had available was a monster 800. I'm signed up for the 4:30 slot, but I think I might give it to a friend because I'm not really interested in this bike.
They also had 999's, multistradas, monster s2r1000, sport 1000's, among others.
What a great time!!! Well organized, good crowd, and good food. PinHead, R-S-V, and GMAN226 great meeting you guys  hope to ride with you again. After that dyno I have my monday morning filled with trying out different maps and cleaning my chain *cough cough* (dont worry your bike is still badass!)
oh I ended up riding the sr2 1000 which was pretty nice....I'm starting to like v-twins more and more
That was definitely a great time. Nothing like hanging with other motorcycle enthusiasts and just shootin' the shit for a couple hours and then riding a Ducati. I road the Sport Classic...not too shabby, but my hands were tingling from the vibrations. Overall, a great day of riding.
Oh, Derek (Degsy) hooked me up and helped fix my left handle bar. If anyone needs work done, I definitely recommend him. I'll be going back to him for some other work in the next few weeks.

here is what I got to sport:

was pretty nice...although I drooled more over R-S-V's mille and the CF mille in the showroom
I stopped by with my g/f around 3:30 or so. All the slots were full but luckily I saw Jay Root there and got to snagglepuss a Multristrada 620 for a spin. Threw the girlfriend on the back and hit the roads. Fun stuff.
Nice talking to Jay and Jurgen for a while.
I was lucky and got the LAST spot open when I showed up ~noon. It was only for the monster 800, but I really enjoyed riding it.
this was the setup: a selection of ducati's that took off every hour or so for 30 minute rides through local twisty roads...you had to sign up for a scheduled time on a scheduled bike and ride in the group.
this one was for sale @ ~$40,000

What did you guys think of the bikes?
Personally, the monster 800 was everything a ducati is: torquey, good brakes, smooth, powerful, linear (no dead spots between 3,500-redline), easy to throw around, excellent suspension, etc. After riding one, I concluded that someday I MUST own a L-twin Ducati.
But the riding position made it feel like a toy at low speeds, and the half-ass easy clutch wasn't quite my cup of tea.
What's the stunt pigeon?
It was great to ride and hang out with you guys! we should do that again (well maybe without the ducati's).
Theirry - you're not the only one that has given shit about the chain on this forum :) I will do something about it, eventually...
the 999 was sweet, although my ass was toast after 10 min...
Its all good man. Yeah welcome to my world....I have to deal with heat on my legs and ass if I'm not riding fast enough.Quote:

Bhavesh - as we are coming off the rt9 exit from 95 there was a pigeon in the middle of the lane...I thought it was going to move but it didn't so we all had to swerve. btw I wouldnt call the monsters smooth, but it was nice. rather have r-s-v's mille tho :yumyum
That pidgeon was either really smart to not move so that we would swerve away from it or it was on a suicide mission and we failed to fulfill it.Quote:
