    Cool Friday Afternoon Ride

Haven't done an after work rip in a long time.

Leaving Andover, MA around 4ish... north into the NH area, Hitting the NH/ME seacoast back roads avoiding most of the traffic. I'm guessing 150ish miles or so.

As always... legally spirited (B-), its supposed to be in the high 80's so I'll likely be squiddin it

Fresh keg and BBQ for anyone interested after the ride!

Hit up the cell or message me on here for info or to meet up somewhere

    Re: Friday Afternoon Ride

Although it was like riding through pea soup, I was able to find my way to work through the fog on the bike this morning.

Here's my game plan for the afternoon.

    - Leave Andover around 4pm (Meet me at the end of Shattuck Rd if you want to start off here)
    - Rally on the Salem/Haverhill line (corner of Rte 97 & Hampstead Rd (office building parking lot) (4:15)
-Danville/Sandown locals can meet in the lot of the Daville Baptist church on 111a around 4:45
-Seacoast locals can meet up in Exeter (Swazey Park) 5;15-5;30

From there we'll head out through Newmarket, Dover, Barrington, Strafford, Barnstead, Northwood, Nottingham, Deerfield and the likes.

I'm open to alterations, suggestions or whatever, but I think this will be a sikk (and relatively traffic free) afternoon rip to kick off an unsober weekend!

PM if you need my numbers to meet up anywhere else!

Only a genius would understand that Swazey Parkway runs through Swazey Park.

Stop lurking all the cool kids that rip down 1a LOL :-)

    Re: Friday Afternoon Ride

Never been to the Swazey park... I thought I would get some helpful advise instead of made fun of. Fine..whatever... So the entire parkway is also the park? Where along the parkway/PArk would we hook up?

    Re: Friday Afternoon Ride

The 'parkway is less than ¼ mile long... its just a small river-side boardwalk type strip that parallels rte 85.... perfect for a sweep through without stopping. Also a nice place to hang out for people who wanna chill there for the day along the river. I really don't plan on stopping... just sweeping through. My head gets sunburned when I stop :-)

Gotcha! So I'd better be ready to take off as you sweep the area! I thought you wore your baseball cap on backwards to prevent the burning?

    Re: Friday Afternoon Ride

I normally do... but I left the house in a hurry this morning and forgot it... I do have a rag I can throw on tho... It's gonna be a scortcha!

Swazey is a 15mph road with speed bumps and HEAVY patrols so we'll be creepin through for tag-along-ers... no need to rush.... If people are there we'll stop. (it'll be almost an hour in for me and anyone else that joins in down here)

    Re: Friday Afternoon Ride

Stattuck Rd in Andover is immediately off exit 45 off I-93
Since you're in Haverhill, 97 would probably be best.

Right at the intersection of Rte 97 and Hampstead Rd
    http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...,41.1,,0,10.32

One of the offices there has a sign showing #395 Main St.
You've got my number if you need it.

    Re: Friday Afternoon Ride

    sounds good

BTW.. .we'll end the ride near or at my house in Epping which is close to 125 for easy rides back to MA.

I plan on being back by 7-7:30 so I have time to pick up a fresh keg before my store closes

    Re: Friday Afternoon Ride

Yeah... for one.. I don't like riding at or after dusk (can't see for shit at night), 2... its friday night and the one thing I have not cut out of my diet is BEEEEERRRRR!!!
...I do this loop pretty regularly and its a solid 2 hour loop with maybe a stop mid-ride to piss/fuel stretch etc. It's a fun, easy chill end-of-the-week ride.

As far as the diet... I don't really have a goal... My goal is to start feeling better in general. I've noticed Im slower, don't sleep as well and just dont feel like I used to... so back to working out, eating right, and taking the dogs out for hikes and mountain climbs!

BTW.... I'll my own thread and remind anyone who is interested, we are taking the dogs up Mt. Major this Sunday if anyone is interested, hit me up in a PM

    Re: Friday Afternoon Ride

Good riding with you guys on Friday -
Sorry for the delayed follow up, this weekend was just non-stop action...

We turned this into a super-squid rip around southern NH. Starting at the Haverhill/Salem line we tore up some nice trails through southern and seacoast NH, hitting B** road, UNH, Danville, and a few other towns on a nice relaxed mid-summer pace.

Good times guys, nice meeting the three of you.... Thanks for coming along!
