holy jumpin jeebus, I just checked this thread to see if the ride is still on and it's 11 pages long, and it looks like the meeting time has changed!
If anyone is reading this...where/when are we meeting up, can I still count on people meeting at the rt 93 liquor store at 8:00?

Nice ride guys! Good to meet all of you. Thanks Nikon for hosting this - glad you were feeling up to it!
Awesome ride, nice weather, and good to meet everyone. This was my first ride with more than a couple of people and I'm kinda surprised how smoothly it went!

Got home around 5:30 and ran off to dinner.
17 bikes in all and it was really smooth. The number of bikes made me a little
nervous, but it was a Great ride!! jnm988 has a pic that I'm sure she will
post soon.
The best pleasure was in meeting everyone, hope all made it home (or to Jenna's) safely.
great ride!!! thanks a bunch nikon

just parked my bike back on my front porch.
fantastic ride, nice roads, good company, and excellent weather (the 30min of rain is a lot less than 30% riding time ), but most importantly, no crashes/no tickets. big thanks to melissa and jackie for room and board, jenna for her gracious party hosting, nikon for organizing/leading, and cheese for herding our pretty big flock.
so....... when are all the ride/party pictures getting hosted?
hurray, strikethrough!

Thanks all for a great ride

It was nice to finally meet you Nikon! You lead a good size group through some nice twistie sections. The route had very few stop signs and traffic lights to break up the group so running sweep was an easy task.
Riding in the back of the pack also gave me the chance to observe the riding and group riding skills of some of our newer members. If I insulted any of you by making short comments, I apologize. While I'm on the subject; some of you misunderstood Will's request to ride in a staggered formation, this only applies to straight sections of roads. Once we hit good twisty sections it's important to form a single file line, leave a good distance between yourself and the bike ahead of you and use the whole lane to make good outside-inside-outside turns. Many of you were still trying to remain staggered, bunching up in the turns and complaining that riders were all over the lane. In the twisties, riders should be all over the lane. Keep that in mind on your next group ride and I'm sure things will seem smoother.
Nice to meet all the new faces and I look forward to the next ride.
Awsome ride, thanks Nikon.

who brought the quiet guy on the gixxer 1k?
was a good ride and cool for Nikon to take us over some new roads, as I'm probably the closest to him I think. Never been around New Found lake before. On the ride home from Jenna's house I hit exit 23 and did that same part of the loop, except I went down halls brook rd. That's a slick road.
Thanks to cheese for the riding tips...now about my front suspension problem, I think the only way to fix that is to pop a plug wire off, that should cure it
It's too we didn't take a pic of Greg's mishap! You always have to post the mishap! Could have nailed that HONDA sign in the pic too.. man, delayed thinking...
If you ain't first......you're last!
don't worry, she took a pic of my bike sitting next to hers in the garage...remember my tag? perfect.
that's me right behind her, i was gonna stand up on the pegs and wave my arms up over my head but by the time I realized she was taking pics she put the camera back in her pocket. too late. plus Nikon woulda kicked my ass for squidly activeties and Lainey was behind me, didn't need to make a Suzucati S4X-R 1800 or so.
ps....slick gixxer 1100. good to see the ol bird still on the road and in that kinda shape.
Nice meeting you and enjoying the ..... party commute afterwards. I knew we were in for some fun as soon as we hit the highway on ramp. Good run down those back roads. Except for that damn jug handle. That thing confused the hell outta me. Asphalt everywhere, a Do Not Enter sign straight ahead, Jenna going right then left, you going straight, and Greg ready to a$$ pack me if I didn't pick a direction soon ...
