    Help with roads near MM

Does anyone know any roads near MM where a new rider can go to help on their cornering at a decent speed?

I know of a few, but not the names off the top of my head. Give me a few, I'll pull up a map outlining a route for you.

You don't want to practice on roads. Parking lots are much safer since an accidental lowside or highside will merely put you on the pavement alone instead of with objects that are tough to move like mile markers, sign posts, guardrails, stone walls, trees and automobiles.

Kids soccer cones are small enough to fit in a backpack and would mark turning points quite nicely I'll bet.

    *my 2 cents*

Just watch the painted stripes in parking lots... those can be pretty slick.

Posting of specific roads is probably best done via PM for obvious reasons.
(ie: the local fuzz, overuse by knuckleheads trolling the boards, etc...)

Tony's Track Day or an empty parking lot free of oil slicks.

Lost lake, and gay road are lots of fun, and only about 10 Minutes from there. Definitely not the sort of roads to be pushing it on though.

Those are perfect roads for new rider to practice on They are nice and wide and People never Tow boats down them taking up the whole road. Maybe Tim D can take you through and call the ambulance for you.

RT 225 Is a good road just take it slow

I kept expecting one of those "wide load" trailers around the next bend.

Eh there fine if you ride safe/carefully. Most of 225 in that area tends to have heavy traffic and be straight, but the short stretch right near the previously mentioned roads is nice.

Head down 27 to 117 between Maynard and Weston. Explore side roads off 117.

Ive done alot of those as I live off of 126 in wayland. But the cops have been putting speed bumps on alot of them cause people have been complaining about the speeds people travel on them. IE Glezen Ln between 27 and 126. And I think they are doing it to the other side also as its been under construction for the past month or so.

He is right about that one as far as wayland is concerned, Coch is where all the towns section 8 housing is located, but there are still some nice homes down there, IE waterfront property on that lake. Im on the oppisite side of the town from where he was, far north and about 25 seconds if that from the lincoln town line.

    it's not really rough.

I lived on dudley on a great piece of waterfront property in a fairly nice house. There is stuff further southeast that isn't nice as far as housing is concerned but by no means is any square inch of the town of Wayland even close to 'rough' lol
