I think this will be the one ride for the year for me.

This is how group rides work, someone says hey I am planning to do a group ride, leaving from such and such a place at such and such a time heading to a certain location. If this suits your fancy, than meet up with me and I will lead you around.
with that said why don't we let the ride leader pick the location and we will all show up with a FULL TANK OF GAS and follow him around.
Bottom line is in order to get to ride the good stuff you need to make some sacrifices. like an hour or more on a slab to get to the meeting point. Or perhaps have a couple less beers the night before. How often is it that you get to ride with 30 to 40 bikes. compared to how many friday nights do you have to throw back a few too many.
Hey mike, if you can give me the route plan ahead of time I'll ride sweep behind the whole group to lead the strays, as I have probably done the roads you want to do more than a few times.
On a side note it might be a good idea for the ride leaders and the sweeper to have each others cell phone numbers just in case.

I am against seperate hooking ups then mini groups to the main meeting point.
The meet is early for a reason and adding an additional meeting will screw the pooch for sure.
Yes you party dudes could cool it for once and set an alarm clock.
Tool down the I90 and get the group together.
I am 90 miles and 1:45 Minutes form westfield, ma and have done it 3 times this year always rode home with 350 on the clock and never regreted a one.
Be there or be square
Glen Beck is John the Baptist
i'll suck it up and meet wherever we need to.. I90 is a straight shot from boston to the lost city of western mass.
I'm sorry I missed that did I hear someone say the mett place was my driveway? With the meet time when ever I wake up that morning?![]()
I hope to make this ride too where ever the meet place ends up. I'll ride to the meeting spot with who ever is going from the metrowest area.![]()

Hey Tom, I'll be joining you.
Hey all,
I will likely be going on this ride, and I live in Springfield.
I was thinking of getting a little Texas Hold Em game going on Friday night before the ride.
If anyone is staying in the area and would like to join us, let me know.
Before you think you're gonna lose your shirt... buy in would probably be only $10 or so..![]()
If you don't want to play and just want to hang out with us, that's cool too.
Post up here so I have an idea of how many.
And we will LIMIT THE BOOZE to a couple since we have a BIG DAY on Saturday!![]()
Ooops... see above.

If anyone is interested in meeting up in the Boston area to head to Springfield let me know. If no one wants to ride out in the AM, I will probably just crash at my brothers place in Springfield the night before.
Anybody who lives east Rt. 495 should meet prior and cruise out to Springfield together! MotorSports International on Rt. 20 in Auburn is an easy place to meet and very close to the Mass Pike. I would love to meet up with as many as possible for a group ride to the group ride!
Well if anyone wants to meet up at a spot around Boston so we can ride the slab out to Springfield together then I am down. Be warned though if we are to meet at 6-7 or whatever if your not their I am leaving. I don't want to miss the rbig ride or hold the group back. Busa I'm fron Lynn and I have no idea how close that is to Auburn but I may be willing to ride out with you.
On a side note a group ride of 40 bikes even all going the speed limit which nooone is going to do is going to draw ALOT of attention.

(From Lynn) 128 to Mass Pike, take Rt. 20 Auburn exit and follow Rt 20 west for approx. 3 miles. MotorSports International will be on your left afet you go throught the lights at the Shell Station. I can meet anybody there at 6:30am and we will leave at 6:45 to Springfield.Originally posted by 600rr0504

Or people can just ride with in their own ability level, not pull stupid shit on a group ride and there won't be any need for the thought of anyone getting into a situation where there might be the need for legal representation.

35racer, where will this Hold 'Em game be taking place?Schedule/girlfriend pending, I might join in.![]()
I'd consider getting a room with you virgin, something very cheap and sleezy. Ok just cheap, nothing that they rent by the hour.
Tony,
I'd be down for a game of $10 hold 'em. I'll wear my pants with the big pockets to hold my winnings.![]()
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
i might be interested in a little hold 'em if i stay the night out there.
The game would be at my house.
I am in East Springfield... on the border of East Longmeadow.
Anyone that is interested, email me direct that week and I'll get you directions, etc.
Like others, right now things are looking good... but there is still 2 weeks of potential problems that could arise.

There's a Red Roof Inn and a Motel 6 in Enfield, CT right off the highway. It's about a 10 minute slab ride into Springfield from there. I'll be coming from Enfield anyway, so if anyone will be staying out this way, let me know. We can meet up and ride to the meeting point in the morning.

for chains:
Hampton Inn
Red Roof

are these areas fine for leaving a bike out overnight?
If you're coming any distance, you might as well stay in West Springfield, on Route 5 (Riverdale Road).
It's a nice area and the bikes shouldn't have any problems.
It is also only about 10 minutes from the meeting spot... and directly on my way so I have no problem "picking" up anyone that stays there and getting them to the ride.
FazerChic - I'm just over the border from Enfield... feel free to join us for our poker game.
Chris - I think getting that room for a Fri night is a bit pricey... but if there was enough people then I guess it could work out money wise.
Right now, the poker game looks to be about 4 to 7 people... we'll see if it grows.
This sounds like a plan.....I might just have to join in.Originally posted by 35racer
