    50's again for Sunday (12/17/06)

Can you believe this shit?? Forecast calls for mostly clear on Sunday and anywhere from 49 (Worcester) to 51 (Blackstone), to 56 (Boston).

So, I just might throw on my lowers and ride somewhere.

Kurt, how about showing us some new territory?

C'mon people. I have the plastics back on and she's ready to roll.

I'm also taking the bike out tomorrow to Chicopee to see my son test for his Kung Fu gold belt.

Chuck, I'm gonna ride this sunday most likely. That is If I can start my bike( or push start it )It's been sitting oustside since last ride. That was beginning or mid November maybe? not sure if the battery is still alive. So let's see if anybody is up for a ride on Sunday and maybe we can get something planned

    9:30ish sounds good to me.

That's a pretty central location. I'm about 45 minutes form there.

    50's again for Sunday (12/17/06)

OK, I'm definitely in. I just got back from a nice ride out to western MA and I didn't freeze my balls off.

It was a little wet in the morning when I left at 9:45.

Since Kurt have a time constraint, let's say 9:30 at the D&D at 32 Commercial St in Foxboro. For those who've never been, it's also a gas station (Sunoco, I think)

    50's again for Sunday (12/17/06)

It was nice riding with everyone again, even for a short while. Part of me enjoys this mild weather but the other part of me wishes it would get cold and stay cold so I can winterize my bike and bust out the skiis.

Kurt, thanks for leading us around, even if it was in circles...just kidding. I had a good time. I ended up hitting Blue Hills also, since it was on my way home. I saw about 6-8 other sportbikes that passed me going the other way.

And that stupid plastic bag is still in the middle of the road. I contemplated picking it up but there was just too many cars going up and down.

Had a great time. Always do when riding with others.

Kurt, thanks for leading. SOme great stretches of road, especially Farm Rd & the road around that reservoir in Attleboro (I think that's where it was).

No need to apologize for having to double back. It's all good. We're still riding.

I think this is probably it for the season. Forecast is getting colder over the next week. So, once again (for about the 5th time this season) the bike is back on the stands, Stabil in the tank, and she's on the battery tender.

    See you in the spring.

Yes it was a nice ride. I hit the Powisset/ Dover rd. on the way back. That was nice! Really good curves. And it's really close to Farm/ Bridge road that we took. So next time we're out there I'll show you the way. Kurt, here's a link to a map for the road I was talking about. http://maps.yahoo.com/#mvt=h&q1=dove...2.226166&mag=4

How do you think I've been riding mine the past 3 or 4 times I've been out. I've gone through 2 whole 16 oz. containers at 2 oz. per tankful.

New plugs will definitely help as well. I had almost put them in when I did the mods last weekend, but decided not to, since I had spent a pretty good block of time already on the bike.

Thanks for the map link, I'll have to check that out.

I hope to ride with you again next season Ned, you are a very accomplished rider. This is what impresses me about everyone that I have ridden with from "NESR" good sensible riding & nobody trying to attract attention from anybody that could cause us to really have a bad day riding.

Thanks again for the company on that ride! (In circles)
Don't worry about riding in circles, I do that myself a lot of times, especially on unfamiliar roads. Oh and thanks for a good words Kurt I'll see you next spring! Hopefully it warms up and the roads clear up in March. And until then

Did any of us show any lack of riding skill? Of all the roads we took, and the pace we rode, I found it pretty easy to keep up.

When I ride the sweep position, I tend to leave a little room in twisties anyway. No sense in taking the chance of slamming into the rider in front of you. Had one close call this season and it cost someone a lot of plastic, paint, and crank cover. Not to mention minimal rash and scraped up gear.

Believe me, if I can't ride as fast as the group I'm riding with, I'm not about to kill myself trying.

I agree that nobody should try to keep up if the leader or the whole group is going too fast for them.Trying to ride above your abillities WILL get you in trouble and it's a good chance the rider behind you might wipe out as well. Also that does NOT make you a better rider. Everyone should ride within their limits. The group will stop and wait for the left out person along the road.

Kurt, speaking of Sunday's ride we had- everything was ok with me. I had two rides with NESR members this last one and "big" one when there were 10-11 bikes back in November. Both times I thought you guys taking it really easy on those corners. I know, it's cold out and the grip is not the same, but...when I ride I tend to go a little faster/ more lean on corners and stuff. Should I call that...more "spirited" twisty riding. But that's just me. When I'm on a group ride I adapt to whatever pace it is. And yes, I'm still having fun!
Kurt, why are you bringing this up? Did you feel someone was trying to keep up and ride more agressively than they usually would? As far as I could tell, everyone could keep up no problem.

BTW, sorry for mistakes or spelling. English is my 2nd language
