So I ended up going there on Sat. the weather cleared at 9:00 you got to love New England!
I signed up for a ride on the Concours 14 & the Vulcan Voyager 1700 first ride on the Voyager 1700 at 10:30. I hated the bike! The floor-boards were hard to get a hang for and the shifter was a heel-toe stomper, weird! The Voyger had very little power through the gears, just noise. I never got it into 6th gear only 5th on the highway at a indicated 80 most likely a true 72 MPH and it was starting to lug at 3.5 K on the tach.
The Concours 14 was Nimble but no power untill you were in the 5K range, the shaft drive must be robbing it of horsepower & torque. The side saddlebags on both bikes got in your way when trying to put a leg over it. I had to bend my leg back at my foot using my hand to prevent scuffing the bags and the seat. Everyone there that rode those bikes said the same thing.
I still like the power my ZRX1200R puts out compared to any of the bikes I tried.
