I'm leaving from the Natick/Framingham area. I figured I'd go RT 115 (which then turns into RT 140) which brings you right to the place. Better than slabbing it on the highway. I might stop at Waxy's in Foxboro for a bite to eat after the event.

    Yama,

I think I'm going to go Sunday instead. A lot more people seem to be available on Sunday verses Sat when I was talking to people at bike night plus the weather on Sat is looking a little questionable. If anyone wants to tag along on Sunday, Dicks on RT 9 in Natick is a good meeting spot and I can lead to the place via all backroads. I heard getting there early is high recommended like 9am.

I'll be there Sunday. The reps told me that sign ups start at 8 so I'll probably be leaving early around 730 leaving from grafton mass. If anyone wants to join me for the ride down. Lmk

This may get called off for Sat. we just had a passing torrential downpour in Mansfield at around 6:25 A.M. it just stopped at 6:44 A.M. They are going to have another event on Sunday though.

    Weatherbug forcast is 66% @ 8:00 A.M. & 44% chance of precip @ 9:00 A.M. Afternoon thunderstorms with hail & high winds 90% chance of rain.

I live 3 minutes from there so if it isn't looking good @ 8:30 I will going to the Sunday event.

Well lesson learned for me. First time attempting to attend an event such as this. My father and I drive up from RI with all our gear in the trunk. We arrive at 12:00PM and the bikes are out for a ride and we notice there are not that many customer bikes or people waiting in line; so we we think "sweet". I get up to the desk and say I would like to ride this or like to ride that and the gentleman behind the counter says.."Well I *think* I can squeeze you in at 3:15PM.". They said people where lined up at 6:30AM to get on the list. Long story short we didnt get a ride or have any idea that people would be there so early. Lesson learned. We got to sit and look at all the models so it was worth the ride I guess.

I attended this event yesterday. I arrived at 8am and there was about 10people waiting in line. I got to demo the z1000 and the zx10r. I thought the Z1000 was awesome. The ergonomics were great and comfortable. The bike was very street able with so much usable torque.

Got a new Z1000 a couple of weeks ago and absolutely love it. I've never ridden a supersport and considered going to the demo just to try the ZX-10R, but ultimately couldn't get myself to do it since it might jeopardize my infatuation with the Z1000.

I arrived there at about 10:30 on Sunday and first available time was the 3 PM.

I tested the 650 and it is a vast improvement over my current Ex500.

Re: Kawasaki Demo Rides - Mansfield, MA Sat June 23rd

I arrived 8:30am on Saturday. I was able to demo a ZX6R, ZX10R, & 650. The ZX6R was light, small, flickable, and very race oriented. It was very nice. The ZX10R had gobs of power! It has a very nice instrument panel display as well as lots of eye candy while sitting on and off the bike. When you sit on the ZX10R, it is indistinguishable from other 1 liter bikes on the market. It has a lot of character and I love it. If I were color blind and didn't pay close attention to the instrument panel I might not be able to tell the difference between the ZX6R, R6, CBR600, or GSXR600. But when you're on a ZX10R, you know its different. Definately, slightly heavier than the ZX6R. The ZX10R completely ruined my ride on the 650. I got on the gas and thought I was in the wrong gear and/or there was something wrong with the bike. It felt like it was standing still with no power whatsoever. Then I got back on the bike I rode to the event (my GSXR600) and realized it was having problems too! Turns out that in the 20 min session I had with a ZX10R, it completely changed my outlook on power and ruined the feel of anything smaller. I would've like to try the ZX14 but I'm a track rider getting into racing so a ZX14 is not where I want to be even though I'm sure it's got ton of power too!

I got there a little before 8AM. There were about 10 people lined in front of me. I test the ZX6R and the Ninja 1000. I had very good impression with the Zx6R, which was solid and silky smooth. The bike handle well, brakes were good ... My neck was kinda stiff after the ride though. The 1000 was completely different. Lots of torque, riding position was up right so no sore neck. But for some reasons, I didn't like it as much as the ZX6R. I don't know, these big bikes are still very new to me. After the demo, I came back on my Ninja 250, it felt like riding a bicycle.

For the people who liked the Z1000, DO IT!!!!! I love my Z. Also it's not a very common bike in the states so you definately stand out. I was at the last bike night and I was honestly the only person there with a Z1000. I basically love the fact that it's an upright bike, peformes just as well as the supersports and has what I consider a more futuristic styling.
