Put me in as tentative. I may have work responsibilities and will not know until later this week.

I would probably head up early to avoid traffic and have a beer or two beforehand if anyone was up for it.

I could do tomorrow, Wed 15th, and I would likely be there slightly after 6 as well. What do you say?

Works for me. Let's not tell Kerry or Oxx so we can get practice and beat them next week.

I'll be there as close to 6 as possible but in the cage

I'm going to check their site: Do we bring our own helmets? Do we have to wear stupid over suits that never are large enough for me?

you can bring your own helmet, and IIRC they dont do full suits unless youre in shorts, just a jacket. Kerri wore her motorcycle jacket. so bring a lid and a jacket just in case

Yup....definitely bring your own helmet! And I did wear my motorcycle jacket.

So this is happening both weeks? I am out tomorrow, but am still in for next week. Trying to round up TDiloren and Gino as well!

Bring the helmet. Wearing your own beats the snot out of the loaners they offer up.
If you have a camera mount for it, they'll allow that too.
They make you wear the goofy jacket, but no pants unless you are in shorts. I think I prefer the loaner jacket over my MC gear.

I'm not sure didn't quite work is accurate. It worked very well for those of us wanting to pass you.

ok so now that you guys got the practice in, let's do this next week. Was it crowded? How many races did you guys do? I am hoping that will let us start the way we did and then I will watch Oxx to what he does to get those launches!

Re: Maine Indoor Karting - $11 races in October

We ended up doing 5 races. It wasn't very crowded so when we got off track, we waited maybe 5-10 minutes before going out again. Just enough time to rest a bit and discuss my unique lines.

Re: Maine Indoor Karting - $11 races in October

did yous call before heading there ? or did you take chances !?

    TIPS

Be prepared to show photo ID for proof of age.
Wear closed-toed comfortable shoes (we also have rental shoes, if needed)
Long pants are preferred, but not required
Allow about an hour for a race.
The check-in process takes about 20 minutes and there is sometimes a wait for track time.
We encourage you to call ahead to see what the track wait looks like.
Sometimes the track is rented out to private events and we can help you avoid lengthy waits.
Most drivers average 18 laps/race – can you fit in more?
Want to have reservation privileges and race at discounted prices?

Re: Maine Indoor Karting - $11 races in October

We did not qutie have run of of the place. Not enough to do the gridded start. Although we didn't ask. But it was not crowded at all. The 16 y/o girl at the desk told us that Wednesday is probably the best day for us to do this. I think there were three groups and we got 5 races in two and a half-ish hours. There were only 4 of us, so they mixed a local ringer in who schooled all of us. Like +1 sec on our times easy. It was fun.
