    MotoGP at Laguna Seca?

Is anyone else thinking about riding out to Laguna Seca this summer to catch the MotoGP races?

I've really been considering it. Though it's doubtful because of money and time.

    MotoGP at Laguna Seca?

I've flown out the last 2 years, and just felt like I was missing something! Not to mention that the total Cluster-F%$& last year at the track REALLY made me wish I had a bike!

By the way, my buddy can't make the races, so I have one 3-day General Admission Ticket and one 3-day Paddock Pass available, for face value ($90 for the GA ticket, and $40 for the paddock pass) available.

Last year was smooth as anything getting there and back each day. The heat was a little rediculous and the fact that there is no shade at all but it was still a blast.

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

I rode out there in '05 from Mass and it was quite the experience. Total distance was about 9,000 miles and I did it in 4 weeks. I highly reccommend it if you have the spare time. The roads in California are incredible.

I'm looking more at 6 days westbound, 3 days for the races, and then 6 days eastbound! Can you say "Superslab"?

Thats very do-able. I had time so I putted around. I actaully ended up staying another day in Utah on the way our just beacause I was going to get there ahead of schedule. I think I gave myself 7 days and I still got there one day ahead of when I was planning.

My recommendation is that you make sure you stop at places a long the way. I kicked myself after for going all way they across the country and sometimes passing right by some cool stuff that I would have liked to see only to keep going. I did get to see old faithful though. AND I got in my 1,000 miles in 24 hours

    MotoGP at Laguna Seca?

Yeah... But the good news is that I did the "slow version" before - 4 weeks across to LA, up the west coast to Mt. St. Helens, and back home.

2 main goals for me on this trip will be to "bag" 2 more states - Nevada and North Dakota, which will only leave me with 2 that I have never visited.
