i've never been there before but it sounds like fun. i may take a ride over.
the only normal people are the ones you don't know very well.
I may be in NH tomorrow, so maybe if I can rig up some sort of tether tonight I'll swing by and make a few runs.
Mike,
What were they giving you guys a hard time about at tech so I can take a close look at my beast.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
you guys should hold off until0 friday.. i think a few of us are heading up then.![]()

There are WAY too many people on Friday's for me. The last Friday I went I ran a total of 2 runs all night because there were so many stupid cars! It was a huge waste of time and money to me. Not to mention I usually work on Friday nights. So stop bashing my thread MikeIt is Wednesday and that's that

I can't make it tonight, I didn't have time to rig up a kill switch. Maybe friday.

what are the requirements for bikes up there? i doubt i would cross over into anything but the minimal req's.
from their website...
Motorcycles:
No slicks allowed. Street tires required (DOT Approved racing tires acceptable). No bald tires allowed.
Open exhaust not allowed.
.500 Full Tree using manual start.
Vehicles must comply with safety and equipment requirements as outlined by the current IHRA Rule Book.
Motorcycles must be street legal and able to pass state safety inspection.
Nitrous oxide permitted and must be installed according to the provisions outlined in the current IHRA Rule Book.
Valid state motorcycle operator's license required. Learner's permits are not acceptable.
Full face Snell M90 or M95 helmet required.
Leather jacket and gloves.
Over the ankle leather shoes or boots.
Leather pants required on all motorcycles running either 10.99 or quicker or 120 MPH or faster.
Kill switch and lanyard required on all motorcycles running 10.99 or quicker or 120 MPH or faster.
All motorcycles and snowmobiles must have a permanent style competition number plate attached to the right side of the vehicle.
In 2006 all nitrous assisted motorcycles, regardless of elapsed time, shall be required to install an approved Engine Containment System on their vehicle.
if you have less than a liter bike and this is your first time going, you probably wont need the tether or leather pants.
the number plate thing is $2 when you get there, just buy it (bring some zip ties) its the easiest way to do it.

Heres a condom. I figured since youre acting like a dick, you should dress like one too.
last friday i saw at least 3-4 people wearing mesh/textile jackets. i think as long as it's leather and/or the jacket has protection you should be all set.Originally posted by reiobard

There were a few people there using textile jackets so it would appear that they allow it but your mileage might vary. If you are running near 120 mph or 10.99 seconds, I guarantee they will say something to you about it as they yelled at SVRACER about not having a tail light on his bike.
Unfortunately for me I can't make it this week but if you have the chance to go, DO IT and don't think twice about it. I promise you will have a good time!

They all paid in the end once the 12 got its revs up. Even the stretched and lowered bike that killed me off the line had some bad Karma for picking on a dragracing noob. He found the magical neutral between 2nd and 3rd and couldn't get back in gear!![]()
