Seven of us braved the perfect temperatures (a little cool to start) and sunshine today during the 4th annual Neglected Fall Foliage ride. This is our first year for the ride and we held it prior to peak season to avoid the peepers and because we really don't care what colors leaves turn. We hit some fantastic NH and VT roads - started in Warner, NH and worked our way through Sunapee and over to Cornish before crossing into VT through Windsor. Headed up through Woodstock and Quechee before hitting routes 14,132, 113, and 244 - entering back into NH through Orford. From there we criss-crossed some great scenery by taking routes 25A and 25C before catching back roads heading southeast in order to finish up the ride. For the most part we avoided cages all day and at a good number of them pulled over for us. Thank you cages! Round trip for me was 228 miles so some on the ride were north of 300. Always great to ride with the gang that showed up and also to meet new riders. Great company and a great day out on two wheels! Bonus was we also experienced around 75 miles of fresh pavement on a number of the best roads. Luck or destiny I do not care. I enjoyed the day all.
