OK. . Mike had such a good time losing to me (twice) at NE dragway.. i was thinking we should try to do a NESR thing there. i was thinking a Wed. would be best (less people= more passes) i know Weds might be tough for some but unless someone has some pull somewhere to try and "rent" the track (can you do that?) on a weekend i think this might be the best way (and cheapest). any thoughts
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

I've NEVER learned to launch a bike, but I have a friend that is eggin' me on to go drag with him this summer. I may just do it. I'm gonna wait until the tires are almost shot though hehe.

The lawyers tell me that I've got to remind ya'll that 'NESR' does not in any way sponsor or condone racing activities...

what does that mean......

It means when we see a title of a thread similar to this one, we need to point out that 'NESR' doesn't sponsor racing events. Same goes for rides. We're just here to meet others & such. It's just to cover our asses...Originally posted by SVRACER01

So now that your ass is covered, are you going drag racing with us?Originally posted by Stoneman

In KICKIN' YOUR ASS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my 929 vs. your SV1000
+
my sv650 vs. your sv650 (racebikes only)
i dont even know if you need a drivers license. but no race license required. no full leathers either. i beleive its boots(over ankle), pants (jeans),jacket and gloves(over wrist). if you your bike does under like 10 sec (i think) you need a dead man switch. ill post details when we work out a date.Originally posted by roso

but the next post says no permits so i wont be able to race but i will come out and hang
I might be down for this, but I have 2 questions...
1) Does anyone know how strict they are on the "Motorcycles must be street legal and able to pass state safety inspection" part. My bike passed inspection, the turn signals work fine, but they are not on either side of the plate. They are built into the undertail. Think this will be a problem?
2) What about the "Full face Snell M95 helmet required" part?
I have an HJC, I know it's DOT but not sure if it is SNELL.
If I can't race then I'll come watch.
i brought the race bike last time and it passed (no turn signals, no headlight, no taillight) i got busted for no taillight when the sun went down . so a taillight is what you really need. they dont care about you blinkers.
no jay.. not this wed. i want to get the bike broken in first and some nice weather in thefuture would be good too. maybe Roso will have a license by then.

I'm game. I'll keep an eye on this thread. To those who haven't done this before, relax. You end up racing against your own time.
There will ALWAYS be someone faster than you. Lots of times I would go up against a bike I KNOW will kick my ass. Sometimes it will get me worked up enough to help shave another elusive tenth of a second. Just have fun.
