Just got my skates done, taping my stick now... I always enjoy taping up a new stick at the beginning of the season... almost like a signal that it's really winter. Happy on one end, sad on the other.

I may need immense amount of liquor by the sounds of things...

DOES ANYONE HAVE A SKATE SHARPENER???

My skates are like dull butter knives.... but more dull. I'm not too worried if I don't find a sharpener though... it'll be kinda like skating on an EX500.

Tomato said his buddy may be there and can do a sharpening in the skate shop. But better check with him. I may try to pick up a shapening stone on my way out. I need one anyways, but no guarantee I will find one...

Show up a tad earlier in order to get them sharpened at the rink though... Take 5 to ten minutes as long as your the only one waiting..

So I am taking it I do not have to bring my spare skates after the nasty topic of bleading blisters came up. I will leave them at home....

Well I just remmebered theres a play it again sports 5 minutes from me, and got a stick and some shin pads for like 30 bucks, so Im good on that front. I have some lacrosse gloves, figure they're better than nothing. But Im still trying to track down a helmet, my uncles checking my cousins old gear. But other than that, Im ready.
