That's excellent. FZWilly and I put about 320 on our Ape's today. Was beautiful out and perfect riding conditions. Nice pictures.

not bad on most of the roads I was on, there were a ton of leaf peepers (mostly riding hardleys ) on the kanc, bear notch & 302, other than that, I wasn't really on the beaten path, Sandwich Notch Road, Tripoli Road, Mount Clinton Road, Cherry Mountain Road

I have a lot more confidence with the car tire than with a knobby bike tire

I almost forgot, I got T-boned by a car in Sandwich, a lady pulled out in front of me at the intersection of 109 & 113, I swerved to avoid, but she caught my pelican case, with her front bumper, surprised it didn't knock me over.

Geez. Hope you and the bike are okay.
If it wasn't memorable enough to put in the first post, I'm guessing you are.

she whacked me pretty hard, at least it sounded that way, the sidecase she hit was empty so it sounded off like a drum. she was very apologetic, couldn't believe she didn't see me till it was too late with my hi-vis gear,

yesterday was my first trip across Cherry Mountain Road, the plan was to use Jefferson Notch Road, but its closed, anyway, I'm glad, I like Cheery Mountain road better, it has steeper and more technical sections and better views

I'm plannin on posting and adventure ride in a couple weeks, I was scouting out the route

There is a ton of Fire roads in that area and a real over grown trail that goes down to Cherry pond and hits the Train tracks off 115 but its been a few years for me....

Re: nice day for a ride

So does Tripoli Road qualify as a "forest" road? Never explored them before... Thanks for the tipoff.

Had a whole loop planned, including Sandwich Notch Road and Bear Notch. But ran out of time and only got to Tripoli and the Kanc. Fun stuff.

Although I'm appalled at the fact that there is an oil slick on the Kanc. WTF?!

And 16 makes me want to kill kittens.
