Wow, glad you're ok. That corner caught me out too. I just straightened it out a bit. From the pics it looks like you started to skid as you crossed the yellow. Was pretty scarey for a while there.

I'm glad you guys were able to walk away without serious injury.

I'm glad people are walking away without serious injuries from this misshap.
I've caught some shit from a few people for not participating in NESR rides. I did a few years ago and was turned off by all the crashes that resulted from stupid moves that do not belong on the street. Smaller rides are my thing and I keep it that way. Others feel I might be snobby or above their rides....and it's so untrue. I just want to return home safely.
I really am glad the injuries were not serious.

Me no likey crash
atleast the Akra pipe escaped any damage!!
It was totally my fault and I know it!!!

Definitely well said. There were some bad decisions made today by more then just those who wrecked. I try to give myself plenty of distance to anyone in front of me when I see his style doesnt mesh with mine (read- dangerous).
I did 332 miles today- a personal 1-day best!![]()

good ride today guys, totaled 330 on my bike and ended up riding from rutland to salem nh alone after my friends got towed
otherwise, awesome day! great meeting a bunch of you guys.
Glad both parties walked away. I did a little off-roading right around there today as well. That streth of pavement had some surprises that's for sure.
You Sir know nothing of true greatness. I of course refer to ones ability to steal, drink and generally do nothing, and carry it off with style
glad to see everyone walked away. we would have continued to the gristmill but had no idea where it was so said the hell with it and headed for home stopped had a nice lunch with my wife over by okemo it was nice to meet all of you even tho im horrible with names
Damn..... Glad everyone's OK...
It's never good to hear about downed riders, but relieved when there is minimal injuries!
I was home all day wishing I was out there riding, but at the same time it's moments like these that do not have me missing big group rides. Shit happens and we all learn from our mistakes. Sometimes it's not our fault at all. This is part of the risks we all take riding a street bike.
Do all you can to ride cautiously/deffensively, always have your eyes all around you for people, cars, obsticles in the roads. You never know whats around the corner. Even if you know the road each time you ride it something could be different.
Most importantly, NEVER RIDE OVER YOUR ABILITIES. If you don't feel comfortable, or don't think your reactions are fast enough to move around or stop at the speeds your going is a good sign that your in over your head.
I am not preaching, I do not know exactly what happened, I am not saying anyone here is at fault. Just rules to ride by.
I am truely glad everyone walked away from this and will ride another day! Small price to pay for a learing experience if you take it that way!

RIP A.B. RIP BEET, I Ride in Leathers because I would rather sweat than Bleed...
I wasn't there either so I don't know if you guys had a riders meeting prior to the run. Usually the "lead rider" will/should conduct a meeting, going over the route, when they'll be stopping for fuel ex:100 miles, breakfast or lunch, line formation - a staggered line is the best, no passing unless waved by the rider in front, no stunts (wheelies) that last more then a couple seconds.the proper gear - boots, jackets, gloves, jeans. No shorts, sandles/flipflopes.
This is all for the good of the rider and riders. As safe as one can be. Crap happens even with the best of riders. Stay alert and focused. Ride within like 80% of your ability.
