I love how this has become everyone's fault but the one who got drunk and made poor decisions. America is a beautiful place to escape all blame. I suppose any accident he had by himself or involving others wouldn't be his fault either.

Someone was nice enough to host a party and this douche bag wasn't courteous enough to balance free food and drink so that he could safely drive home. This same hostess offered him a place to stay but he wasn't coherent enough to realize he needed to accept her free lodging.

He placed the hostess and all the innocent people on the road that night at risk. Make him be responsible for his own actions. Whatever he gets he deserves. Period!

I'm not saying I haven't got on the road with one too many drinks before. I'm just saying if I did, it's nobody's fault but my own and all blame should fall on me.

I won't even get into the criminal rights issues starting to spark up in this thread. Just because lawyers have created loopholes, doesn't make it right. Man up and accept responsibility for your own actions.

Having the cops called on you isn't an issue unless you're guilty of something. If he was right about being safe to drive home, he'll pass the breathalyser and be on his way. If he was wrong and fails the tests, he pays a price for his own poor decisions.
