You have mail. Myself Bruce and one or possibly 2 others are also in!
We are meeing most likely around 11 at the intersection of rt 20 and 146 in Worcester. There is a Park & Ride lot there were we will meet up. Destination uncertain as of now, but i am bringing a map and my NE Scenic route tour book! We'll find something good!
I am there!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bruce I'll call you in a little bit I may be running late, I am going to pick up something for the car....
Awesome day today. Had fun. Thanks for lunch Mike.
Bruce
It was a very cool day, but Being in groups of sports cars attracts too much attention! If we do this again we should go to VT so if any tickets do get acquired it will not effect our ins! :fyi: :D
Your very welcome for lunch! I owed it too everyone for screwing up the start time and mudding up Tims car.
Hope you guys got pictures, there is something wrong with my camera and my pics are all blurry, time to put this one in the shop or invest in a new one...
Thanks again for lunch Mike,
...and the mud facial for my car:twofinger The good news is all the mud washed off in the rain tonight.
I have to remember that place we ate at so I can take the "wife" there some time.
The problem of too much attention seemed to be due to the fact that many people decided that today was a great day to rake their leaves near the road, so I don't think it would normally be so bad, but I do like the VT idea. I think my girlfriend would like to join me next time I do one of these things, so I'd have to shoot for a Sunday.
You've got some great roads up your sleeve Mike. I had a blast. Next time I will remember to bring my camera.
MUD??? What the hell were doing to my poor car???:twofinger :twofingerQuote:

I can't believe I read this post.
You guys go out on rides in your cars, like we do on the bikes??
That sounds like a bad idea all around. Especially after riding with Mike (Half Squid) this summer:D
Something tells me avoiding a ticket will be a little harder in a group of 10 cars tearing it up on twisty roads.
Well I'll keep my eye open for future rides.
My Mustang sucks with cold pavement though.
I got an AWD turbo 5spd though for all of next week, so I'll be down even if it snows:D
MIke is actually a well-mannered driver compared to his riding style. Of course this is due in part by the fact that he can't wheelie his car :twofingerQuote:

It seemed that we attracted more attention in the cars than on bikes, but we did manage to make it through the day without getting stopped, though we did get a few looks from a few LEOs. We may have been lucky this time, but I would still love to do it again.Quote:

won't crank them like your R1 did, but I've held some good 2nd gear wheelies on a mostly stock RC51
....As it was best put "They may be heavy, but at least there slow too":D
:flush: :nono: Sarcasm I would be banned from all the RC51 boards if they knew I wheelied it or bling it out... They are strange like that..Quote:

...Yeah I was thinking you should change your screen name. 3/4 or 4/5 squid seems more fitting than half squid.
I gotta stay away from these forums, all this bike talk, with no bike is depressing.
Crap...I just noticed this thread. Too bad, 'cuz that photo needs a Phantom Black '04 GTO in it.
and another Mustang...I'm Down for the next ride...
who's S2000?
nice!
Well my mustang is in the shop....again.
Once it gets out its officially for sale.
So, since you guys are not just bike nuts, but car nuts too I need an opinion for a new(well used) ride.
I am currently looking at 2001 Audi S4's, anyone have any experience or stories good or bad?? Reliability of a twin turbo is my concern.
Possibly a BMW 328 or 330 with all wheel drive, is the rear wheel drive BMW's any good on snowy roads with their traction control??(I wouldn't imagine so)
I really love sports cars, but just seems too impractical now. I bought the Mustang when I lived out in San Diego, and I'd love to get 350Z, but I know it will just suc in crappy weather.
.....I'm also in the market for a new bike, my insurance company finally came and took away what was left of my R1(very sad, I loved that bike)
BTW....Sweet GTO in the pic above, those are nasty!
I had a WS6 Ram Air Trans Am and I miss the neck snapping torque that those pontiac 350's put out.
I was in the same boat, ended up with a 2G eclipse GSX AWD (94-99).
Others I looked at were the 325/330XI, Subaru WRX, Mitsu Lancer Evolution. All will give you performance + all weather ability, though the 325XI is a bit wimpy engine-wise IMHO.
I've had no problems with my turbo thus far, and based on what I've been told there's no reason to worry provided you change/check your oil regularly, and either buy a turbo timer or take the time to let the turbos cool before powering down (I went the turbo timer route, saves hassle and confuses the hell out of people).

Thats my friend Matts 2000. That is a hot car. Handles awesome, fast and fun to drive. The 350 is also a fun car to drive. Go test drive one if you think you can without saying I will take it. You can find a used 350 for around 22k and an s2000 for 18 if you look hard and not be in a hurry.
