I agree with you 100%. That is one reason why I don't typically like going on large group rides like that one, too many riders want to snuggle up near each other and you can't enjoy the ride, or the road as much as you should. To me, that is defeating the purpose! I want to get out there and enjoy the great roads and take turns as efficiently as possible. I can't do that if I'm worried about the guy behind me creeping up on my ass!
Thanks, those 4.5inch pistons make alittle thump @7800rpms.

Was good to meet you folks. Im usually not much for group rides but you guys seem to have it sorted out. Well getting gang stopped aside....Thanks to Ray for puttin this together. Oh btw Im the guy on the black FZ
Really bummed i missed out on this, i was geared up and ready to go took the bike out for a ride the night before and lost my keys (dropped them outside). went to start it and they were not in my jacket. by the time i found them it was almost noon already.
That happened to a rider in vt few years ago, 30 of us searched a dirt parking lot only to find out the dude had it in his pocket the entire time.
[QUOTE=Cheese;1165492] The only suggestion I would make is to break out of the staggered formation. Many of you are holding your lane at speed in the twisties. Instead, spread out, follow single file and use outside, inside, outside lines that allow for more efficient cornering.
Sorry - I'll work on it this year!

No shit i lost my keys at work....spent an hour lookin for 'em came up empty....just on a lark a coworker gave my coat a good shake....yup jingle jingle..fuckers breached the pocket and fell into the liner...i had to cut 'em out and in the process i found a single key (no jingle) I lost two years ago lol

Guilty.
I had my camera rolling for bits. I did not realize quite how much I bunched up and/or kept the formation at speed. What's worse is it is something I had been cognizant of and actively trying to avoid. One second we're in town rolling at 20-30.. then we're back in the open at 50 before I knew it. Seing the video shows me I still have some work in this aspect of group riding etiquette.
I'm not completely down with this out-in-out line, personally. Not universally anyway. But nobody can argue with the 3 seconds thing.
My apologies to anyone I may have encroached on yesterday.
I do feel pretty confident riding with this crowd. After only a couple rides, I feel like I can trust ya'll. My goal is to be trustworthy in that same respect.
That's tough man. Condolences indeed.
