Re: Where did you ride today?
363 miles today. Left home around 8, headed over 25 and 25a, out to vt113/110, then 100 up to 17, took a wrong turn on the west side of the app gap, lunch in Middlebury at 7 south sandwich Co. Good, but nothing remarkable. Pretty sure I saw Randy on 125, down 100 again to 100a, then kingdom rd to 44, across the Cornish bridge (that was cool), into nh and across 4 and 104 back home. Hit Winona rd for good measure. What a beautiful day.
Got a couple pics but too lazy to post them at the moment.

my scooter handles those curves in Ripton nicely. My clock isn't set on my scooter I'm guessing I went thru Middlebury about 1:30. I headed out from Farmington at 10am, got to Paul Smith's at 4pm. The twistier routes happen to be in a direct line
I had my fish head helmet onAttachment 59242
Re: Where did you ride today?
Yeah, I think it was 1:15 or so when I saw you on 125. Figured you were the guy with the neon onesie on the scooter. Haha.
Re: Where did you ride today?
Spent the morning out on the Husky looking for dirt. Many closed gates, but I did find some nice unmaintained roads in and around Barre. I know Hodges just opened the gates for the season, but I didn’t go because I figured it would be packed. Also came across the Ware River Rail Trail and can’t figure out if it’s legal for OHVs or not. It looks like maybe atvs or snowmobiles use it, but online it looks like it’s hiker focused.
Re: Where did you ride today?
I went to Canada, well the border at least, after festivities I headed north on Rt 30 to Malone, the Trout River, west on Franklin County 20, thru farm country when manure spreaders are not shut off just to cross the road

Re: Where did you ride today?
Managed a couple hundred miles this weekend. Among other things, we wanted to check out Lakehouse Tavern in Hopkinton (NH) so we stopped in for some quick apps (the bacon clam chowder was outrageous and the chef salad Big Shirl got was insane). Some peeps were supposed to meet us at some shithole pub (Boonedoxz) in Northfield (NH), but they never showed. No biggie, grabbed us a quick refreshment and on we were on our way. Not sure I really need to get back there anytime soon. Next up was Shooters in Belmont (NH). Had to stop for a quick round of their steak & cheese egg rolls and cheddar pretzels.
I'm not really into the scooter thing. But we saw a pretty cool 1980's (ish) Honda Passport 70...
Day two we just pretty much tooled around with no place in particular to go. Ended up at the camp to finish up getting it ready, then just buzzed around some more. Beautiful weekend that really wasn't supposed to be all that nice up our way other than Friday.

Re: Where did you ride today?
Yesterday I went out on the new Guzzi (V7 850) for the last of the break-in miles, did 112 miles, as far west as Princeton MA, up past Wachusett Mountain, then south on 140 to Boylston, 70 into Clinton, and home. One stop for gas, just taking in the scenery and empty-ish roads during school vacation week. 832 miles on the bike, so I'll go ahead and do the valve clearance check today, then raise the rev warning light. Great bike, runs great. The seat is a little low, so I tried adding a $13 seat pad from eebay, did the trick. Also, no Ibuprofen needed in those 832 miles [thumbsup]

How do you like the V7? I havent ridden one, but my wife rode one while I rode a Tuono on a demo ride. She almost fell over when she started it up, wasn’t expecting that rotational force, lol. She ended up really liking it, though.

I'm really liking it. Which year did she try out? Mine is a 2023 850, so I can't compare it to the earlier 750s. I don't notice rotational force particularly on this one. But then, This is my third or fourth Guzzi. It is quite responsive, with broad power. I just finished the break-in miles, so I'll have more to say next week when I let the revs rev. So easy to DIY maintenance. Today checking the valves, so easy -- no need to even lift the tank, and just 2 valves per cylinder. Shaft of course,so just change the oils, check the tires, and ride. There may be some discounted 2022s around, like the Centenario color scheme, matte green tank and the tan saddle. It's not particularly light weight, but feels light d.t lowish seat and low cg. Check A-J Cycle on Rte 2 in Gill MA. Excellent place, the oldest of old school. I told them I'd be doing my own servicing, they said, call ahead and they'd plug in the diagnostics while I wait.

I think it was back in 2016, so probably a 750. I was surprised how surprised she was by the rotation, she had spent a decent amount of time riding my mother’s BMW R1150R.
Re: Where did you ride today?
When I had my 2012 Speed Triple my coworkers covered my license plate with blue painters tape and wrote with big sharpie : l’d Rather Be Riding My Boyfriend.
I sat in down town Haverhill traffic and rode about a half an hour home and just barely noticed the blue when I got off it.
Re: Where did you ride today?
Took the 1980 KZ1000 for a proof ride today and discovered why syncing the carbs had been such a pain,, bike ran like shit and was immediately returned home. A quick check with some carb cleaner indicated one and maybe two of the carb holders are leaking at anything higher than around 1500 RPM, am not happy. Not sure if these are still available from the dealer,if not i will have to find some aftermarket bits, plan on doing all four as taking the carbs off i only want to do once, a pain to do.

Ronnies only does post 1983 parts so looks like Z1 Enterprises has the stuff i need. But i will bookmark them for the ZZR which is more recent manufacture. Thanks for the tip.

Re: Where did you ride today?
This afternoon I took the Ninjette out for 70 miles, took the roundabout way to get a sticker at Billerica Yamaha. Fun bike, runs great. Since last year I have changed all of the lighting to LEDs, dash included, and changed the side reflectors to running lights. The tailamp comes with three socket holes, only one of them with a socket and bulb OEM, so I installed sockets in the other two, now the rear lamp really lights up brake/tail, just trying to get a small bike more noticeable.

One more roundabout ride yesterday to go for an inspection sticker, '96 DR350SE. Tested out the new ProGrip 714 grips. Verdict: excellent. Also, Ranchero fans, make your way to Maynard MA

Re: Where did you ride today?
I rode a bunch yesterday. A little ADV action with Tony and Ken on Kerry's new to her 08 WR250X, then a trip to my rentals on the Hyper in the afternoon. Both great motorcycles. Nice to be riding again!
Re: Where did you ride today?
I started up my new to me Honda hawk 650 in my shed and nearly asphyxiated myself. That's kind of like a ride.
Re: Where did you ride today?
a quick trip from Rindge to Athol on the ZZR to get supper at the Black Crow Restaurant, chiily ride back though.

Took the new v100 out for its first rain ride yesterday. I have to say this is going to be a nice relationship that I will have with the Moto Guzzi.
