Bent the front wheel, smashed my windshield 3-4 times, ground my highway pegs down, broke a turn signal, bent a brake pedal, smashed a mirror, broke a box mount. Lot's of scuffs/gouges on the crash bars (got those re-coated last year), skid plate and hand guards.
It crashes surprisingly well though, it's not that often I have to replace parts.
When I bought the Scrambler from National they had a handful of Super Adventures. Those things seem MASSIVE. Definitely intimidating, especially to someone like me who clearly belongs on a dr200.

Yeah it definitely feels big. It's much more comfortable riding dirty stuff around here on my CRF. But I manage on the 1290, just gotta take it slow and have aggressive tires. I primarily use it for commuting and BDR type riding, though.
Next year the loose plan is to trade in for an 890R or a new 1290R. Still haven't decided which suits my needs better yet.
Re: Where did you ride today?
Did a few miles of the Flatlander yesterday. Some of the class 6 roads are still pretty squishy.

Took a little zip out to Mt Greylock and played tourist on the way home. Might be the last time it's so convenient to ride that way.

Re: Where did you ride today?
I went out for about 80 miles, just local, zipping around on town roads, on my K-Pipe. I get around 100 mpg, when I'm under 55, If I'm out on a primary route, keeping up with traffic, instead of sipping, it drinks gas, I used a quarter tank in 10 miles of 60+

Managed a few hundred miles this weekend. I don't keep track as much, but I was supposed to be keeping an eye on the MPG's (I didn't). Lakes Region NH, coastal Maine. Traffic was surprisingly very little. It was bizarre going making our way through the Kennebunk area without getting caught up in traffic. Didn't even have to take the usual shortcuts.
Topped it off with a chilly fuggin' ride to work this AM.

Interesting, been running into much less traffic than anticipated/normal down here as well. Hope it stays that way.

I'm guessing traffic is pretty bad usually this time of year? I was absolutely amazed at how little traffic there was in a couple tourist areas we went through. Absolutely amazed.

Oh yeah, boats in the water 1st week of june. Normally packed and with this being the 1st summer "without" Covid I was thinking gridlock down there, fully expecting to need the back roads/cut thrus.

Yup, same.

Is this an indication that the cost of fuel is keeping vacationers away, or is it just that it's early in the season, water is still cold

I think it MAY have a bit to do with that. But the weather hasn't exactly been summer like yet. Cool temps during the day, downright cold at night still. And most schools are back to getting out after Father's Day.
Re: Where did you ride today?
I watched someone backing it into the gas station on Route 28 in Allenstown, NH on a red Ducati the other day. Was that any of yooz clowns?
Re: Where did you ride today?
Did a few days riding with the lady. Took her to wineries, a saloon, the restaurant from the movie 'Sideways', and a tavern on a lovely backroad that started in 1865 and retained much of its original features. Somehow ended up with 10 bottles of wine in the bike too.
Not my usual blasting through backroads but a great trip nonetheless.

If you ask nicely, most of the wineries have packing paper or something similar they can wrap them in (she removed it all for the photo). Also, since it was a few days trip, we layered some of our clothes between the bottles. With that said, I think they'd be fine even if we just put them in the topcase as-is. There's not that much room for them to move around and it's not like I'm taking it off any sweet jumps.
