Rallycross event at NHMS

Just saw it posted on the NHMS Facebook feed yesterday. It's this weekend. I wish I could go because it looks like an awesome event. Anyone else going/aware of this?

Yeah I guess they've been doing them at a lot of the NASCAR races. I'd go watch, but then I'd have to deal with a NASCAR sized crowd. No thanks.

I did a few RallyX events this winter. Apart from this weekend, there is the RAL SCCA event which will be at NHMS - it includes an autoX and Rally -X (August).

This is NOT the rally-x type event youre thinking of, I am pretty sure.

The SCCA 'normal' rally cross is super weak. It's basically just auto-x on dirt. I did one event and Didn't even bother to do the last sessions. The newer style rallycross is more like european rallycross that has been going on for decades. Multiple cars on the same course etc. The x-games stuff is really more geared towards putting on a show, but way cooler none-the-less in my opinion.

Yeah, im just saying it isnt a "roll up in your street car, change your tires, and race" type of event

They were out cleaning it up as soon as the last race was over. Pastrana left some nice AWD donuts on pit lane!

Pastrana was in a Dodge Dart? I didn't know he made the change this season.
