I rode on the street yesterday for the first time since July. I called into work in the morning to see what we had for work and there wasn't any, again. I told them don't bother calling me if you get anything, see you Monday.
I printed out a bunch of copies of my resume, planned my route and went out on the VFR for the first real ride since I had my shattered left wrist fixed. I hit Salem, NH, Auburn, Hooksett, Worcester, Bridgewater and West Bridgewater. I gave my resume to every contractor that I could think of that does the type of refer work that I specialize in.
By the end of the day I did just about 275 miles, over 6 hrs. Wrist felt great early. No problem using 2 fingers on the clutch. By the end I had to use all 4 fingers to pull the clutch in, and had leg cramps from not riding for so long. Weather wasn't bad. Picked up a Balaclava in Windham, and that made the wind at 75+ much more comfortable. Even if nothing comes from getting my resume out there, it was nice to get out and ride for the day.
