Id go slow for the first round trip, with all the flooding some sections could be hairy as there are tons of lakes and brooks around those roads

True, and some are even washed out and have those steel plates over the washouts for traffic to go over. Had a little brake check on a local favorite road, came around a corner and saw crushed stone in the road rasped up to the steel plates covering the washout

I just took a job at Twisted Throttle http://www.twistedthrottle.com/ in Peace Dale [Wakefield]. We have a Open House coming up on May 22nd and If there were any interest I would lead a group ride to the event. I'm not here to extol the virtues of the company. It seems like an excuse for a ride. I live in Westport and do the commute every day on my FZ1. It is a good hot lap down 24 to 138 to 1. I like riding it alone because I tend to bob and weave through little holes in the traffic.

I haven't really explored any alternatives for a ride. Anyone have any suggestions? Sorry for the commercial plug. Kev

For an alternative route stay on Rt138 till Rt1(not 1a) once your south on Rt1 take the 1st RIGHT(approx 1/2 mile down 1 from the 138 exit) onto Shermantown Rd to the end LEFT onto Slocum LEFT onto StoneyFort Rd. At the end of Stoney Fort go straight across/slighty right onto Broadrock Rd which will dump you out onto Rt108 about 1/2 mile from Twisted Throttle.

BEWARE the North & South Kingstown police, worst towns in the state for tickets, especially on 108 they mean 25MPH

have to disagree with you there. Johnston has always been known as the worst town for tickets. AAA threatened to list them as a high risk speed trap 3 or 4 years ago because of all the tickets and OBVIOUS speedtraps.

I can understand the plug... speaking of which, do they need anyone in the packing/shipping/any department? I go to URI and swung through there asking if they needed people but got a very vague response.... Thats the end of my plug

Someone just quit in the warehouse on Tuesday. Call and ask for Brian Chase. One thing they like is people who ride. In fact before we discussed wheather or not I was qualified for the job I was asked if I rode.....

My bad, right takes you to the front of the mill complex, bear to the right then imediate left and your there. Depending on what time you head in/home it will save time once the beach traffic starts in a few months, which is HELL
