    Group riding?

I got my bike a few weeks ago and I'm loving riding around, but I would like to ride with...well...other riders. I see people getting together on the weekends. I live in Leominster, any groups around here? I'd love to join ya sometime.

    Group riding?

Not at all, I'm looking for some good riding area's along with meeting people I can learn from and have a good time with. I grew up on bikes with my father. He tought me to always wear my gear and never go above your comfort level. I always wanted to go on trips and rides with him one day, but sadly I do not have that pleasure anymore. I despise squids, and if there is one thing my MSF course instructor told me is that I can be to cautious when I'm driving, but I'm working on that ...I'm still breaking in my bike, but following the manufacturers breaking was not really possible within certain area's. Just keeping up with traffic around here, I hit between 70-80mph going to school. I'm surprised at how fast I got the feel for my bike. I had people telling me to go for a smaller bike for my first and I'm glad I didn't. I'm definitely looking forward to bonding with my bike 100% and making it an extension of myself, and riding with others will help that trait. I love to learn and I am always open to suggestions on how to improve anything I do.

MotorcycleNight is a good place to meet NESR riders. They usually ride down there on pretty easy routes too so you'll keep up just fine. Group riding is tough and not for newbies. It's really easy to get sucked into the pace and then sucked up by the pavement. Even experienced riders crash on group rides so I'd give yourself some 1 on 1 time before you tag along. That doesn't mean you can't lend an ear to where the groups are riding since chosen routes are usually some of the best in the area.

If you plan on riding the rest of your life, take your time.

Hmmmm ... last time I rode with him there were at least two bikes off the road behind him and one of them was a Busa.

Damn Buddha, being a lil hard on the new guy?

Sounds like you'll fit right in Bow... I would have told you to get an older bike as your first bike so WHEN you wreck it won't cost so much to repair. At least you didn't go out and get the great looking Poser bike the GSXR.

No offense to anyone who owns one, but I would never get a GSXR. Everyone I see riding around here is on one, and every summer those are the same lunatics who do about 100+ weaving in and out of traffic on the highway. I fell in love with the Ninja a while back. The ZZR called out to me when I sat on her. She told me she was mine ^_^ I am the only one in my area that I've seen with a bike like this so it's comforting knowing I'm not one of the ones following the crowd. I'm different
