they just sanded the roads all around my apartment, and amherst st in Nashua. Just a little ice and they had to dump a friggin triaxle load....you could shovel it off of the road.....genius, pure genius....

Typical... they do the same thing around here too... the first little snow and they dump enough sand/salt for 3 blizzards.

Then by the 4th snow storm they say they're running out of sand already.

Really? I don't think they sanded the roads in Ashland yet, well not on my side of town. I'm def going out this weekend. High 40's and sunny.

No... they haven't done Ashland yet... but when we get the first snow they will.

Get out now, while you can... although all the wet leaves on the road don't help right now.

    well riding season is done

Tuesday night after that lil' snow flurry we had fog and mist as the temps dropped below 32 degrees. I was watchin' for black ice on the way home in my cage and knew there'd be salt out overnight. Guess there were a few that forgot what causes black ice cause Wednesday morning the cagers were in the ditches bright and early. I dropped my insurance and put the gixxer away for the winter. She'll be out after a few spring rains and a few street sweeper sightings.

On a happier note, the skis are tuned and ready for the slopes. Bring on the FRESH!

Yup, season is over for me as well...or was there even a season for me...
It was 65 and sunny this morning so I said fuckit, I'm riding the bike to thanksgiving diner. And seeing how I hadn't really looked at the bike sence I rode it to the track for the last race weekend, I guess I wasn't to surprised to open the door and see a flat rear tire (forgot about the nail It picked up on that last ride)...and a dead battery to cap things off.. In the basement it goes for the winter

it was 38ï½°, foggy & drizzly for me this morning, I rode my strom to thanksgiving dinner anyway

on the way home, I decided to take river road, its a gravel road that has been closed since the flood on patriots day, they reopened it yeasterday about 5pm, the road was slick, frozen surface under a half inch or so of slick mud many potholes & washboards sections they did a good job with the new bridge, the rest of the road sucks, they filled in the washouts with boney gravel and have not graded the road yet, it was still foggy and in darkness, but no worse than riding Deals Gap at night in a thundershower, glad I got my knobby winter tires on

season will be over for me on december 31, and next years season will begin on January 1

Still riding every day from Waltham to Norwood. My car was rear ended which is extending my riding season past the season of comfort.

I saw a lot of bikers out yesterday in my area. I did a nice 300 mile ride around. Sadly enough I think I'm going to winterize the bike this coming weekend.

Yeah today wasn't too bad. The hardest part was getting the bike
outta my shed, through the yard and on to the street.

Once on the road, not bad at all though.
