Ride to the Ocean 11/7/04

******NOTE THE DATE CHANGE 11/6/04******

I organize this ride every year with another group, sorta a mellow end the season type ride. It's always been a pretty good time in the past and most can sleep in a little and be home sorta early as well.
Be at the VBC in Ct at whatever time you like, eat, drink,etc.. The ride is LEAVING the VBC at 10:30am. It'll be a casual pace ride on a nice route heading south with a destination of Narragansett beach. We usually hang around and bullshit for 15 minutes or so and then go for a sit down dinner in North Kingstown, RI, we should be there by 1-1:30. Easy access to I95 for a slab ride home or easy access to backroads home depending on the direction you are going

Again, it'll be casual paced, minimal passing, it's more of a social event than anything

Focker, I can't make this , my sister in law is in from out of town that weekend and I have to go to a party at my mother in laws house that day.

That sucks cause I usually bring the left over halloween candy to give away.

Mike....ifn you are up for this. let me know. I'll take you thru some newly paved back roads to the Bean....I also know a place for b'fast that's not far from the Bean. Its in Woodstock. Nice place. And cheap too and will apt to be less crowded. Sounds like a nice afternoon ride Mark

Any objections to changing the day to Saturday?? Same time, same place??

Sunday is best for me................have plans for Saturday(work?)........weather MAY may influence my decision...like ifn is going to rain Sunday but be ideal Saturday I may be up for the switch....

Sunday is the only day for me I have to work Saturday

Got Gerbing saturday, but it's a bit short. If they can get it back to me in time, I'll be down for it. That heated jacket liner makes me feel like I'm riding a hot tub around!

Same times, same place but it is now Saturday

I might be able to go still, just have to swap a rear tire out, another one bites the dust!!! Thats 6 rear tires this season and will be 4 Fronts after another few rides! Best riding season I have had yet !

And if you actually put new tires on each time, that would prolly equal, what maybe 2 sets?

Plus you burnt one off at stonnerstock, or was that a sprocket, or both?

I was putting new tires on! The only take off's I used were for the track. I did finish off one set on the road but I only got 1200 miles out of them.. And I burnt through the Sprocket and the tire!

Just dam glad it wasn't the transmission like I thought it was with that horrible crunching sound!!!

Dont look for me in the Morning, I just got in, it's 2 AM and I have a bunch of things to do tomorrow, plus my rear tire is done. That may be it for the season for me..

The three of us made it down there to meet the others -- had some spendy pancake$ that sucked ass ass ass. We turned tail and headed back north though, as our chilly passenger wasn't digging the beach idea. The weather was nice, if you were in the sun, stopped.
