    looong ass ride this weekend

Well, this could be the last weekend with comfortable weather for a long ride.

Saturday....up through NH, VT, NY, ect. Probably will be 5-600 miles. Leaving MM at 6:30..leaving townsend (corner of 119 and 13) at 7:00 (meet across from Cliff's)

It will be slow pace for fast street riders.

Please post or PM if you going, don't just show up.

If the weather for Saturday looks dicy, we will switch to Sunday.

Point of reference? DD's? Gas station?

Do you mind if I extend an invite to a couple other riders?

It give us time to enjoy T-road and some of the near by stuff.
I thought there was some repaving going on there...did they finish?

You ever heard of E----- Rd? It's nearby and rivals the quality T Rd. has to offer...

fasterthanu- can we possibly meet up Friday so I'll have time to rig those gloves up? Possibly?

first post revised. E -road too. Last time I was on E-road it was partially unpaved. T-road is also partly dirt, but 3.5 mile of beautiful road.

I like smaller groups, but I'll leave it up to you.

E Rd is paved...at least it was back in Sept.

T Rd was a little torn up but the good part was still intact...again, at least it was back in Sept.

I like smaller groups, but I'll leave it up to you.
Asking two other riders...one's likely not able to make it (family stuff) and the other is a crapshoot as to which day is good for him (family stuff)...

Both T.road and E.road are freshly repaved (in T.road's case, just the first section that was a little rough before). E.road is fantastic, but we're nearing the end of leaf season, so pay strict attention. There will almost certainly be lots of leaves and some pine needles on the road, and there may be leaf peepers too. I would strongly recommend making a low-speed pass of both roads first to scout for dangerous spots and local wildlife (bear in mind there's a state police barracks very close by).

Also, Saturday's weather up in this neck of the woods isn't looking too promising. Low/mid 60s, but currently they're calling for a 30-50% chance of rain, depending on which weather service you ask.

Let me know what time you guys are planning to hit the App Gap and T.road; I'm taking a friend out for a ride who just bought a Triumph Bonneville. Maybe we'll meet you over there somewhere.

    MM by 6:30..

I'd have to leave my house by 5:30

Which means I won't be able to do all the crap chores around the house that day.

I might be in depending on weather.

    Thanks mark,
We will let you know when we are coming through. And, thanks for the heads up about the weather, the leaves, and the bears. If Saturday doesn't look good, we might have to move our plans to Sunday (if Sunday is better).

Don't worry muffin I hold your hand

Bergs-The gloves are WAY easy to hook up to the bike. All you need is a philips head and possibly some tye raps. It has fused leads that go directly to the battery then you can unscrew your tank and run the wires up to your bars or just tye rap them to the frame for the time being. The gloves have a lighted switch on them but if you want you can wire a cube relay in and then just throw the wires on that when we meat up. OR you could wire a 12v standard car outlet to the bike (fits good in the black plastic up in the nose fairing) buy a 12v adapter for the gloves and just plug them into that

    Update:
The forcast for Saturday is getting worse, while Sunday is supposed to be clear.

Looking more and more like Sunday.

For some reason I can't edit my first post?

Please don't remind me. He helped me sync my carbs this past spring, I remember getting to his house messin with the carbs, then the next thing I remember is the ride home and trying to repress yet another bad memory

Its only small percentage chances and even still only passing showers for an even smaller part of the day.

Do I need to remind you of the ride last year that the picture in your avatar is from? Around 20 degrees and SNOW flurries coming down the mountain leaving Florida!!!
