Rode my Triumph to lunch yesterday

I rode my Triumph to lunch yesterday, took the long way 'round, stopped here and there, all back roads through small towns, 217 miles, left at 10am, back home at 5pm.

Stopped in Hollis, NH, pretty hilltop town, you should see it in the spring when the apple orchards are in bloom.

The train station in Bennington, NH. When did the trains last stop there, or even run on that track?

Washington, NH: it doesn't get any more New England-y than this.

    Two-lane blacktop beckons:

Dining destination, Sunapee Harbor on Lake Sunapee, in Sunapee, New Hampshire, just up the road from Mt. Sunapee and Sunapee State Park.

    The view from deck dining:

    Pointed home:

    Great lunch, great ride!

So how bumpy are the roads around Pillsbury State Park now? Last time I went (last year) they were horrendous.

Re: Rode my Triumph to lunch yesterday

Thanks, y'all, it was good, and the weather, nice of course.

Bill, for sure. It's basically 31 up and then back on 103->114->77->13. Took a nice unnumbered connector route between 13 in Milford to 31, via Lyndeborough ... country! This time of year I usually stay away from the coast.

As to the pavement, there's some fresh blacktop out there. A lot of 31 is pretty bumpy, with a cracked crown in each lane (fun). But the Street Triple R is Ohlins equipped, so I just raise up on the pegs a bit and ride.

    Thanks and more thanks.

Trade? I like it too much, and it keeps getting better. Seacoast set it up with the Ohlins, TTX in the rear, 30mm cartridges in the Kayaba forks. Thought I'd spend $$$$ there instead of exhaust. Tires next.

There is some fresh pavement on 31 a ways past the state park up to the junction with Rte 10 I think it was, so maybe they paved the worst of it.

For sure, Kenn, as long as you wait for me at all the stop signs.
