... 6 now... got a call from Nazo... a while ago... i wasn't gonna post up, but what the hell... everyone's alright, everything & everone is repairable / healable, but the ride is over for today.

nah, Nazo's fine. it was one of the others... i'm sure he'll post up about it when he can. I didn't even wanna mention it just out of curtesy since it wasn't me that went down & I wasn't even there, but i just thought i'd let everyone know there was an incident, but it wasn't major from what Nazo said. Yes, the person involved went to the hospital for his shoulder but Nazo didn't mention an ambulance so i don't think it was necessary. I've already talked about it more than i'm comfortable with, the person involved will chime in when he wants to. I'm sure we'll get an update soon.

Yea it wasn't too long after and yes he will be ok. After the accident it started to rain so we all went home. It could have been better but it was still nice to meet some other people who ride.

Lol I was sitting back thinking to myself I know I'm not supposed to pass but I know I can go faster. Maybe she will wave me on.......nope not waving me on. Well she is riding on the yellow line maybe that is her sign to pass. Then I just went for it and hoped I didn't piss you off haha. Thanks for letting me by. I hope you get your new bike soon so you don't have to tach the thing out to keep up.

that was normal pace really for some of us. everything was showing clear. what can i say?

Don't feel bad. I am new to the game and I was keeping up. If I though for a moment you guys were going to fast I would have backed off. Shit just happens sometimes. He will learn from it and move on.

Let's just say you were following the rules better than me - but yeah, riding the yellow was my sign in that turn for you to go, but I wasn't sure if you wanted to or not cuz the other guys just creeped ahead at the light and I thought you would too if you wanted to get ahead...anyway, I don't get pissed off that easily - as long as you don't run into me or something I'm fine

Yeah, did you hear my poor bike - sad, sad, sad

not that I didn't already know that would be the case...

You too Kham - and you were fine. It's up to everyone to keep the pace or back off. I knew I wasn't going to so I just backed off and you guys were very nice to wait at the lights and stuff and make sure everyone was accounted for and ok. So I think you do the best you can and sometimes shit just happens. As long as everyone is ok, that's all that matters

I saw the whole thing and you did not do anything wrong.
We were running at a fast speed and came up to a sudden turn and intersection with a Stop sign.....that makes for potential trouble to any rider, ya know.
I was comfortable, but still I had to think and react properly or I knew it could be trouble. I saw you reposition yourself and get the bike aligned so you could brake as well.
It really was a tough situation.

....Just found out one of my other riding buddies, not on the forum just got into a small accident with a car today too.
Pretty much totalled his one month old 2005 R1
Not a good day for riders at all

Yeah, I had a front row seat too...
definitely nobody's fault. We just came in a little too hot and a little too close together. I think with a little more pavement between riders all would have been fine, but shit happens. I'm just glad everyone is OK.

may be a few days...i talked to someone who went to the hospital to see him (i didn't hear my phone ring when he called me

). his shoulder is in pretty rough shape and he's going into surgery in a few hours

going back to visit him later this evening....

that sucks, i was hoping it was just a deep bruise, sprain or something. sometimes your in shock more than injured.

I just got back from the hospital, and he's fine, but he'll go into surgery within the hour or so. Basically the shoulder is completely off, and they need to do some pretty invasive stuff to get it back in place. They can't just snap it back and hope it'll heal on its own, but they need to use hardware to get it back in place. I think Manny got some pictures from the x-ray he might be able to post, but it's not for the faint hearted.

Anyways.. He should be ok eventually. Thanks to Nazo for taking care of the bike and everything after the crash too!

Sucks that it was that bad. I had a good look at the crash and I too was hoping for just bad bruising. I hope he heals up soon he seems like a stand up guy. Thanks for the update.

The doctor just called me and the operation went well. He's in the recovery room... I'll post more info when I know more.

Who was this rider? I hope he has a full recovery and is not discouraged from getting back on the bike and riding in group rides.
