Sat. July 26, Berkshires Ride & Party!

Our annual group ride and party this year will be held on Saturday July 26th.

Departure: 9:30 a.m. sharp.

Meeting Point: Gristmill Plaza in Southwick MA (at the corners of 10/202/College Highway and Rte 57/Feeding Hills Rd)

Pace: Medium --> anywhere from 5 to 20 miles over speed limits. (slow down thru villages/towns, road condition, etc.)

Route: Scenic roads thru the Berkshires/Western MA region, *might* include some nice roads just over the CT & VT borders. The route will be simple to follow and enjoyable, always within an hour or two from the house/party.

The ride will be planned to last about 5 hours, including lunch & break stops (back by 3:00 p.m.) Then back to the crib, relax and have fun.

BBQ/Party: Food, swimming, volleyball, basketball, billiards, Guitar Hero II & III on 62" high res screen, Karaoke, fire at night. You don't have to make the ride to attend the party. I'll have food, beer, jell-o shots and frozen drinks, but bring your own booze also. If you need to crash here (you guys know who you are...lol) yes we can arrange that.

Well,I got my self warmed up for the ride and did a nice little back road 100 miler today. What about the weather? Wil it be,"rain or shine ride?"

Rain or shine, yes. About 2 years ago, I was expecting over 30 people on the ride, because of the weather, only about 8 showed up. I asked them "are we still going for it?" All of them to answer affirmative. ALL DAY....under pouring rain. We were drenched! Every time we stopped somewhere people were looking at us like we were a bunch of lunatics... It was still a good time, and I certainly got way more confidence after a day riding under the rain. We're not made of chocolate, we're not going to melt under the rain.

Looks like cbr_chick_nh is looking for someone to ride down with her, too. And as I said, you guys/gals can always crash here and go home the next morning.

I believe Andrea still consider herself a newbie on bikes, she doesn't have a lot of mileage done, and she keeps on saying that her butt can't take long rides...LOL She needs a good ass whoopin. Come on Andrea, you know you want to go on this one. Call in sick at work...
