Well, gonna play it by eye for now, but so long as its not completely pouring rain, I'm going riding Saturday, I cant take it any longer.
Would like to get an early start, but will adjust if necessary. Weather permitting, will likely get going about 8am.
Will likely head up Rt. 2 out of Greenfield, hit 112 to get into VT, might cross down 9 and then take 30 north and meet up with 100 from there. Have several routes off 100 to criss cross over, and will probably make an effort to make it up to Rt. 17, the Appalachian Gap and check that out. Road conditions there might or might not be up to par for running with the bikes, but would like to check it out nonetheless. If anyones interested and needs a timeframe/route, I can come up with something concrete on paper, but if its only going to be a few people, just gonna wing it, still plenty of roads up that way I have yet to check out.
Again, with the start point, I dont mind getting an earlier start for myself and meeting some of you more easterly people and working NorthWest from there or what. Post up and see what we can get going! Or, just flame me! Thanks!![]()

Breaking off whenever is fine. I can tenatively say that if the weather holds out, I'll be riding till 5-6pm, but I'll be on my way back down south by then.Originally posted by reiobard

I've got nearly 2 weeks worth of riding to catch up on.
Any VT'ers able to comment on how the weathers been up there, rains hard enough to be washing shit onto the roads, or not that bad?

Well, I knew your bike was iffy, and saw your anniversary post in Keiths thread on STN, so just think of this as my "starter" run of the App gap, so I know the corners when I run it with you the next time.Originally posted by 01YZF6

Due to rain in the forecast (among other things), I've made plans to head into NYC this weekend. Sorry Jeff, you know I'm itchin' to get back out there!!!!!!! This goddamn weather BLOWS!
My shit:
2004 Yamaha FZ6 (Naked....mmmmmmm) (FOR SALE!!!! CONTACT ME FOR INFO!)
2004 Mini Cooper - Deal's Gap tested and approved
Guys on sportbikes are so hot....until they take their helmet off. Just leave the damn thing on already!
Beware the counterfeit Mini!
I might be down weather permitting. Very good chance I might be heading down to NYC as well to see my brother.

Yeah, road conditions may be iffy, but if the weather holds out, I'm riding.

Will be meeting up with several Thundercat owners from the yzf600r.com message board, at Gill Mobil on Rt. 2 in Gill, MA at 10am tomorrow morning.
Addess is 23 French King Hwy, Gill, MA. If coming from the east, its 3.2 miles from the French King Bridge, and directly across from Green River Powersports, a Honda powersports dealer. Maybe I'll see one of you guys there, maybe I wont. Either way, everyone enjoy the weekend.
Route will be taking us down Rt. 2 past the hairpin, then up Rt. 8 and beyond into VT. Ride as little or as much as you want.

Yeah, I rode in that kind of weather yesterday. I gave up after 50 miles. Its supposed to be showers in the afternoon, so hopefully we are all clear. I'm packing the rain suit just in case. I work outdoors, so a little water doesnt bother me. Hell, I worked straight through the downpours we had all morning, its par for the course. (Literally).Originally posted by NinjaSwan

Well, we ran 116 in Conway, MA, to 112N, then took Rt. 2 west towards North Adams. We hit downpours quite literally just before that 2nd "25mph" right hand corner going uphill. We stopped at the top, said fuggit, lets ride to North Adams to find some food. Rode there, it cleared up for a bit WHILE we ate lunch, then started raining again the second we walked back out the door of the restaurant, go figure. Said fuck it again, kept riding north on 8, the rest of them had to start heading back home, so skipped Searsburg Mt, and continued east on 100, it rained from N. Adams all the way until Readsboro, then somewhat stopped., took 112S back into Colrain/Shelburne. Started into the rain again once we hit Rt. 2 again. At that point they broke off, I said fuck it, I'm already as wet as I'll be, which surprisingly with my leathers, wasnt that wet, and rode up into NH and did another small loop on Rt. 5, NH119, and VT142.
210 miles later, I'm home and absolutely fucking exhausted. The rain, cold and wind really sapped the energy right out of me. The bike is filthy, but it really needs to get cleaned up before all that shit drys on there, so I'm dragging myself back out to the garage to hose it off and clean and lube the chain, then its cold alcoholic beverage time for me.
