I'm IN but can't hit attend from my phone right now. I'm good to meet in Stafford for 8AM.
Just be advised that the App Gap is in terrible shape. The pavement is badly cracked and frost-heaved. Watch your speed, be careful on corner entry (there are some frost heaves entering corners that are severe enough to cause wheel lockup if you're hard on the brakes), and watch your line through the corners as some of them have cracks big enough to swallow a front wheel.
Personally, I don't bother to go there at all anymore except to pass through on my way somewhere else. The pavement is just too shitty to ride aggressively.
If I were you I'd skip the App Gap and go to Rt 125 (Middlebury Gap) instead. Half of it (the twisty half) was repaved last year. The other half is a little rough but nowhere near as bad as the App Gap.

Did seem that bad....
I've done a few weekends in the app gap this year, including last. Going east to west uphill is pretty well kept together. East to west fom the top is the worst part in either direction (west to east or east to west). There are a lot of nasty frost heaves coming down hill as you enter and are in the left hand turns.Originally Posted by Tricklidz
