Saturday 8/7 VT/Berkshire ride

Leaving the Gardner, MA area around 9-10:00AM. Go west. Stop and get gas. Ride more. Stop and eat lunch. Ride more. Probably returning via Rt.2 around 4:00-5:00.

Twisties/back roads will be the aim. No knee draggin, but spririted and enjoyable.

Last weekend's ride went well, found some AWESOME new roads.

If it's hot, wear shorts under the leathers and bring a small towel for a quick dip in the Swift River mid-ride. Probably gunna be in the 70's though, but the option is there.

Any interest?

i have riden out that way and route 116 starting at umass amherst is siiiiicckkkk!!!!

yeah, I'd definitely like to get in on this. I remember a nice ride a few years ago that was out that way - with the sportriders crowd - Rt 2 up to Brattleboro VT, I think. There was some old mill/power station on the river and some great sweepers.

Am I thinking of the right place?

Sure are. Lets plan on meeting at the Dunkin Donuts off Rt.2 (Pearson Blvd exit) in Gardner at 10:00AM if the weather cooperates.

Exit 23 off Rt. 2 westbound. Take a right directly off the rotary and D&D will be on your left.

Mike(vfr one), wanna meet up in Jaffrey again? Or do you wanna buzz down Rt.140 and meet us at the D&D? It's essentially reverse of how you went home last time once we split after the ride....

VFR Mike, I'll PM you my # for the electronic leash in case you get lost. Basically, go south on 140 till you hit Rt.2. Then go west. The first exit you hit will be the one we will be at. If it were any easier, a dead chipmunk could do it.

Route is not posted for various reasons.

I CAN tell you that we will not be on 116 for long, as it is pale in comparison to the roads we hit last weekend.

really these roads are that good. I rode 116 from amherst to rt 112 2 weeks ago, only a 1/4 of the route and i thought it was sweet!

can u pm me the routes, i won't post it.

I thought that was the whoel idea of having it at like 2:00pm then she wouldn't have to cook anything.

One other thing is cuz she is a woman!!!!

You know what, I do not know what it is! That bitch never sent me an invite, she then wanted me to distract the bday boy for the morning but has had someone else do it now and still has not told me not too.....maybe I should just pull another no show saying well jeez I did not know!

I can't make it. My daughter's 5th birthday party is Saturday from 11 to 1. Wish I had the cardboard cut out think mentioned earlier. My wife is also coming home from the hospital in Chicago on Saturday. Just a shit day all around.

Sunday is better for me and I do have a few people interested in riding. I told them northern NH but weather looks a little sketchy up there so maybe the Berkshires will be better.

So let me know if you decide to change the day.
