Saturday 9/16 - Too nice to not ride.

Its 9:45 now, gonna eat some breakfast and head out for the day. I cant NOT ride, I mean, the suns coming out, and its supposed to be 80.

Either heading out into the Berkshires, or possibly go try and get myself lost north of here somewhere. Gimme a call if you wanna try and meet up, I'll be riding all day, so if I have to ride 2 hours to find somebody, I'm all for it.

    Today ruled.

I'd say the highlight was being passed on the Taconic trail by a guy on a blue ZX-6R? in a marked 35mph corner, and he had to be doing at LEAST 85, because I wasnt too far behind him.

Yeah, I'll spare the details, but basically, the guy was insane.

He was doing laps of the Taconic, I kept on him after he passed me, saw where he was turning around on the NY side, and waited for him. He came back down, I chatted with him for a few minutes, wished each other well and went on our ways.

I had no ill feelings, he was obviously balls to the walls, and I should have let him pass after I saw him make his turn at the top, and was on my butt again within 4 seconds after he pulled out.

    I concur

I think that stretch between Petersburg, NY and Rt7 Adams,MA is one of the top 5 sweetest chicanes in New England, and I've rocked them all. No cops ever because they have to turn around at the border. Coming east from NY, that left hander where the boulders are strategicly placed to prevent you from flying off the side of the mountain always makes my heart skip a beat, even at just above the posted speed limit. I like to loop up 22N at Rt2 , then bomb rt9 east thru VT, back down 112 or 8a to rt2 again in Charlmont. It's delicious.

Thats exactly the route I did, did a few laps of the Taconic, then 22n (its so hard to go fast on that road, har har ), then did 9e to Searsburg Mt., then 100 to 112, then home (Bennington is a clusterfuck, I hate stoplight traffic). This was after doing 112 all the way down to Westfield area, and doing Rt. 20 as well. Good day.
