By the way, when we got to the Dam where the lakes were in Catskills Park, that road that was blocked was OPEN when I went to drive there. The other route (the dam bridge) that some of you decided to take instead of following us back on Rt-28A, was blocked at the time I was there a few weeks back. The little road following the water was only a side road following Rt-28A, allowing us to have a better scenic view of the lakes and mountains. All we had to do is turn around (like some of us did) and go back on Rt-28A and keep going in the direction we were all suppose to go. I have no clue why some of the people took that road over the dam, and I don't know where you all ended up going after that...Stephan told me he was riding with a group who decided to go opposite direction at some point, altho he said it was the wrong direction. He told me he decided to split off from the group and go on his own in the direction he knew was right to go back home. Did over 2 hours of highway at triple digits. He's afraid some of you might have ended up in Michigan...lol I'd like to know that everyone made it back OK, I know there is some faces I didn't see coming back at the party, and since I'm not sure of all your screen names on here, I can only hope you are all safe and sound...
I commend anyone that came out and rode with us with that heat. I'm sure it was difficult on many...

Not if you prepared for it. It was nice while we were moving. And as long as you found a shady spot (or an ice machine to stash your leather jacket in, Pete) during the break you were all set.
All in all, even with the missed routes, I had a great time. Thanks V for organizing it, and hosting the party and thanks Pete for leading our "slower" group.
And a special thanks to that officer in Otis for not turning around when he saw Pete and I flying around that corner at near 90mph. I guess he wasn't in the mood for writing out 7 tickets at once.
