Yes, great ride. Let's do that some more.

I've been stuck in the daily grind, doing about 2000 miles a month of just commuting to work, so it had been a while since I had really stretched the legs of the old beast.
Felt nice to get some spirited riding in.

Pace was plenty fast enough for me. No complaints here.

Yeah....not sure what folks are looking for when you're leading 20 riders. I thought the pace was perfect and the riders seemed to be enjoying themselves. It was fun to watch from the rear!

But everyone is free to strike out on your own and set your own pace! And race your own stuffed animals...

The stuffed animal comment was referring to PhilB's cat. Bad attempt at taxidermy humour

That was perfect pace for me. Not ohmygodI'mgonnadie fast, and not boring slow.

What's the difference between a bolt and a screw?
First you screw, then you bolt.

Well, I'm not a fast rider, so I may be a poor judge of such things.

D'oh! I missed that myself, since Eliza wasn't stuffed; she was skeletonized. I did have a taxidermed badger when I was a kid, though. And a few birds -- a toucan, a parrot, a few songbirds -- that my grandfather sent me.
