Hey guys, we made it back home. My buddies bike has some road rash but he's ok. At least I got the first hour in. Thanks again for leading Dave! Hopefully I can join in on another ride

Glad to hear he made it home. Me and Mark split off when we got to the Old Mill. Found some dirty roads to play on. Thank you Dave for another memorable ride.

Just got home! Had a great time, thanks for leading Dave! When I asked my GPS for a route home to Rochester, it found one that would take 3 hours and go through Mass! Screw that, I navigated home on back roads by the seat of my pants. I figured if I keep the sun to the left for a while, then to my back for a while I should be good. Well, it worked! Ended up on a bunch of neat little back roads, some of them dirt and eventually got home. One of them even had a "warning, not maintained" sign. Yes!

    Overall, an awesome day!

Enjoyed all the conversations. Dave, thanks for showing me new corners of New England.

Looking forward to do it again.

Re: Seacoast Opener - May 9th, 9:30 am!

Seacoast Sport Cycle hosted the opening day ride yesterday and 14 folks showed up!

We took some nice back roads west and then south to Fitchburg where we had planned to have lunch at the Mill Restaurant! We got there about 11:50 and the parking lot was already full as were the dining rooms! However, the lounge downstairs was empty so we grabbed two tables and settled in for lunch! The trick at this place is not to load up on the 'hush puppies' served with real butter and maple syrup and the cinnamon rolls that melt in your mouth!

After lunch we continued west and then turned north back to New Hampshire! The route I had on my Garmin had us turn on to Bowers Hill Road out of Rindge. It looked like a paved road on the map. It wasnt. It was a trail...not even a two track. As we turned around I checked to be sure we didn't lose Roland on his 250 Honda dirty wheeler...!

We got sorted out eventually and stopped for an ice cream at Fiddleheads in Hancock then on to Bedford where we parted ways!
