Seacoast Sport Cycle Summer Season Rides...

I led the first Seacoast Sport Cycle ride in May of 2005. Eleven years ago. Seems hard to believe!

I want to thank each and everyone of you who has joined us for these many years on more rides than I can count. We've have great weather and snow. Seen some fun stuff like the Trebuchet in Greenfield. Eaten some great meals together and had a lot of laughter and a bit of drama. Everything you might expect and plenty that you wouldn't.

I'd like to call out Rob, Terry, Kenn, Eric and Sam for their duties as sweep. both recently and years and years ago!

And too many others to name but be sure that if you were on a Seacoast Ride, I'm grateful for your skill, patience, humor and company!

I also want to thank Seacoast and the whole team for their support of these rides. They were there on Sunday's to open up even when they were closed. They bought us lunches and even admission to the track for the Ride To The Races. I really feel lucky that I'm so close to such a great organization.

I'm hanging up my Garmin and looking to take a mid-pack or 'sweep' position from now on! I am hoping that someone will take the reins and I am happy to help the next Ride Leader get started in any way possible. Jim at Seacoast assures me that he'll continue to support these rides and he's always open to creative ideas.

So...who has some fresh rides or cool things to do? Let me know your interest and I'll help get you started!

Once again, thanks to all of you. It's been a great run!

IF any of you has a favorite moment from these rides lets hear it...!

One of mine has to be seeing the faces of folks at the end of Hurricane Mountain Road after their first time.

Also, when Mark got off his bike and kissed the ground when we got back to the base of Mt. Washington!!!

Dave- you've led some epic rides! Many thanks to you and your aforementioned buddies.

A classic that comes to mind is the A*****d LEO that stopped us. Your charm, wit, (and gray hair?) simply had him shaking his head before sending us "ducklings" on our way!

Bear Notch was always my favorite part of the Hurricane Mountain Ride. Quechee Gorge too! Junior Hernandez wasn't digging the height, I wanted to take a picture of him looking over I said get closer to the edge and he almost got sick. Hahaha!

Thank you, Dave, for all of it. I've enjoyed the ones I've gone on very much.

Should it be someone who either works, or bought or rides a bike that is Italian serviced by Seacoast Sport Cycle? Just asking...

    Thanks Dave!

Your rides introduced me to a lot of really epic people.
Also introduced me to the racetrack.

Basically, Seacoast rides changed my life.

Well done Dave! Leading rides can be a lot of work, especially with the group sizes you routinely took out. I too met some cool people in the earlier days of these rides. Enjoy the middle and back of the pack. At this point each spring I'm just glad to see you post up.

I promised myself I'd make a couple of these this season. As others have said, it's a lot of work, as I witnessed when SuperDave was doing this years ago in western MA.

Your ride post is one of the sure signs of NESR Spring. I hope someone steps up and you get to enjoy a well-earned spot in the middle of the pack.

    That'll last abut 2 hours and you'll be riding 2nd, 3rd or 4th!

    Thanks Dave!
I have been on a few rides and always had an excellent time and very well organized. Hopefully someone steps up to the plate soon. And Jim and the crew at Seacoast are a huge part of it and it's success over the years.

I've only been on a few but found them a great credit to you, Seacoast, the sport and the region.

    Dave,
Many thanks for dedicating your time and sharing your passion of motorcycling and exploration with us. I have many great memories and met a lot of great people on your rides. Hats off to you and the volunteer sweeps as I understand it isn't an easy task to keep 10+ riders of all varying riding capabilities corralled. Well, you can definitely check that box and I commend you for doing so. I look forward to riding with you this year and hope you can join The Neglected for some rides. Best of luck with any future adventures and travels!

    Thank you!

Not only did we all go into withdrawal, we didn't hardly saw each other anymore. If it wasn't for the outstanding "Not Sure" rides, I don't know...
Well I'm out here in AZ now with no Seacoast and no Not Sure. Four motorcycles, 3 are brand new and ride once in a while. It's the middle of summer here so, not that much riding anyway.
I need watercraft for the pool!

    Them's were the days...

To be fair, the riding in AZ sucks. Yes there are the odd curvy roads (and I’ve heard Tucson may have some) but here in PHX it takes too damn long to get to any of them. I miss being in loops of awesome twisties just minutes from my driveway. Oh well…I just remind myself I never have to deal with snow, ice or cold temps. Bliss.

I was just at National Powersports and they have a Speed Triple 1200RR up on a like foot or foot and a half platform…

It was hard to walk away from.

I felt like Wayne looking at the encased white guitar.

I visited my parents some time ago, we explored everywhere from the canyon to Nogales, best twisties are on New Mexico side of state

While I adore Triumph, that's crazy!

I would have loved to have seen pix.

I got the Daytona Moto2 from Billy when he worked there.

sure, the road up South Mountain Park, yes, there are twisties, with a lot of desert in between, relatively. I would tend toward the dirt side of the sport
