As I suited up around 8:50 a torrential downpour passed over head. Several people had already bailed on the ride because of the weather, and even though it was looking like the rain would pass by soon and the weather would improve, it wasn't clear to me, as I donned my helmet, that anyone was going to show. But ever the optimist, I figured that there might be one or two willing to chance the weather or test their gear!
As I left the house, I rode through a weak drizzle that petered out completely by the time I reached Seacoast where Alex was opening the store and rolling the bikes out. (BTW...they have several really nice used Ducs...including a SPOTLESS Paso, at least 1 999, and what looked like some 1098 and other Superbikes...)
Soon enough Patricia and Rob arrived...one with donuts and the other with a box of Joe!
And right behind them came Tim on a nicely outfitted VFR and Dave on a BEAUTIFUL Red Multi followed by Mark (FKA ninjette_ridr55) on is new Ninja 650.
All right...we have a ride!
Just as we were getting ready to leave Terry pulled in and now I had a Sweep!
As we headed through Derry, we stopped at a light and Tim pointed to our left. There was Tuono Mark waving frantically! Once he pulled in we were off.
The rest of the day we saw dry roads and not a drop of rain. It was cool, but the traffic was fairly light most of the day and all told it was a great ride! Once again Terry ran sweep like a pro ...but it's pretty simple keeping a group that small together!
After one gas stop we made our way into Tilton where we stopped for a late lunch here!
Warmed and sated, we rode up the hill to the Tilton Arch where some folks were preparing for a wedding!
After a few minutes here, and having a women in the wedding party have he picture taken with all of us, we wound our way south through East Concord and eventually picked up 293 just before the Amoeskeg Bridge. From there we pointed home and I arrived about 4:30 more that satisfied with another great ride with some great riders!
Looking forward to next months official Seacoast Hurricane Mtn Ride.
Thanks all....
Dave
