    Shel,

Pick a time and a place and post it up and whoever wants to go will make it. Probably best to meet up out towards the western part of the the Boston area, Motomarket wouldn't be a bad start location or the McDonalds out in Keene NH has worked in the past. Bust out the Google Earth or the Google maps and find some roads that look interesting and plan a route.

Any weekend other than Columbus Day weekend would probably work for most. Columbus Day weekend is a race weekend so that one is out for me.

When you lay it out let me know and I will try to make it.

yeh, as long as someone else does all the planning, picks a really good twistie route that will keep everyone happy makes sure that there are gas stops right when we need them, the right amount of breaks and a good place to accomodate all of us for lunch. Picks a date and a good starting point, I'll try to make too.

    is that all?

Sheldon, schedule this a few weeks out and I will definitely be there (after the Oct 6/7 race weekend would be awesome). Bike and shoulder still recovering (bike will be back on the road this week), and I have to move next weekend (bleh).

1 more thing, make sure the start point is in central or western mass so I won't have to get up too early to make it to the start of the ride.

Though extremely comical, I was laughing the whole time I read your reply, that was not how my post was intended. Looking back at it I can understand it being interpreted that way though.

My point to Sheldon is that if he waits to get everyones input and tries to make everyone happy this ride probably wouldn't happen. Sheldon brought it up so I figured I would give him some hints on things that have worked for group rides in the past that I have participated in. I would be more than willing to help Sheldon in planning something. I guess my post was more of a "if you build it they will come" more than sit around and let others plan it for you.

Oh well, just one more fine example of how intent and meaning can't truly be conveyed over the internet.

How true, I was being serious though, I just want to be a follower for a change.

Oh yeh one more request can the leader and sweepers both have radar detectors on their bikes and have radio comm with each other so none of us get tickets.

    thanks.

Yup...all we need now, is a date, a time, a place, a route, a leader, a sweep, a GPS, a good lunch spot, and a donut.

I'll ride with the slow group.

I remember that. Dragged my knee for the first time and then probably didnt shut up about it the rest of the day. I think I did 120mph all the way down 89 and 91 and made it home in record time on the way back from that ride, only to later discover the connecting link in my chain wasnt exactly "secure".

    End of season BIG RIDE

There is a ride on Oct. 14th leaving from Seacoast and touring the covered bridges of Southern NH and visiting the Trebuchet in Greenfield.

Probably NOT a good venue for the NESR End of Season ride. The starting location isn't far enough west and the pace will be moderate - a pleasant 'touring' day! But some of you might want to add this one to your list anyway!
