I dont think any of us will want to stay sober, but somebody has to drive! I will probably take it easy so I do not feel like crap Sunday so I can make this ride, and enjoy it without lack of sleep or a hang over. I'll let you know if this will work out for me.

TGIF Fridays ( Manchest Mall ) at 8:30 works for me.

Question ... The previous (my 1st group ride - VT.), had speeds in the 140mph area on country roads. Is this a normal occurance for group rides? Don't get me wrong, I had a blast and enjoyed every minute of the ride, but I am concerned about a hefty ticket and points. Has a group ride every been pulled over...?

Yes, groups get pulled over...

If we hit anywhere near that on this ride, I'm bailing. I have no quarrels doing that with one or two peeps. But under no circumstances will I EVER do that with a larger group of people...

I said it earlier, if you are fast pass and go ahead if that is what you want. Just make sure you do it safely. You make some one crash because you tried passing them on the inside of a 1 lane road I am not keeping anybody from kicking your butt. If you make me crash because you tried to pass me on the inside no one will keep me from kicking your butt.
What I had planned was if you want to go 140 you go first but you wait the longest at the the next wait spot. You get pulled over, you're not with us. You rat us out I track you down.
If you take your sweet time getting to the next spot, I will be there waiting for you. That is what I had planned.
Speak now if someone has a problem with this. Pretty much you set your own speed. No need to keep up because everyone will wait until you catch up at the next spot.

Is the pre-meeting spot at TGIF @ 8:30 definite? because I'm looking at a 2.5hr ride to Keene from where I am coming from. It would be nice to ride with some people for at least a little of the way to Keene.

1. At this point it looks like I'm in....assuming I don't have too much of a hangover.. I will be leaving Wellesley between 7-7:30 and planning on taking backroads up to Keene (probably 119 plus).

2. 140 mph is not possible for me (naked SV and no interest unless on the Track)..so I will happily catch up to any and all who pass me at the meeting spots. I will have my map so no worries....

btw..today I rode a loop on/and around the Kanc and jumped onto 93 in Tilton...the roads were in decent shape...as usual..some gravel and the always interesting frost heaves.

Hey Tom..

Right now I'm planning on going on this ride but will confirm Sat night. I have no real idea how long it will take to get to Keene via backroads so I was thinking about leaving between 7-7:30..if you want to meet up. My route goes thru Weston, Lincoln, Concord and then NW..
