    Any single track/trail clubs?

Looking to get into some dirt rides after too many close calls with cagers.

Are there any clubs or organizations where I could pay a fee for some legal trail riding? Southern Nh/Central Ma or anywhere within 1-2hr drive from Boston.

I’m looking to get something like an older KTM with a street title to make things easier and throw an OHV sticker if necessary.

NETRA.org : The New England Trail Riders. It's a volunteer umbrella org made up of chapters of regional clubs. 'Fun rides' are trail ride days, usually at someone's private spot they're opening up to everyone for the day. Turkey runs are single-track leaning dual sport trail rides. Definitely try to get a street-plated bike to keep the options open there. You still want it to be more of a dirtbike though - they keep the street time to the bare minimum. Enduros are basically race-format version of a turkey run, which means even more riding opportunities. Joining NETRA itself is usually step 1, and then you can also join one of the local chapter clubs. They might have their own informal ride days, depending on the group.

In MA, there's a handful of public riding spots if you're registered OHV. Franklin, Foxboro, Wrenthem, Freetown, and Oxford MA. Up in NH, another popular one is 'Hop-Ev'. The maintainers, the Merrimack Valley Trail Riders (MVTR), are a NETRA chapter club. Looks like their site might be down, but it was functional at least as of this summer. Hop-Ev requires NH off-road reg, and unfortunately is not reciprocal with MA's OHV reg.

There's also several motocross tracks in the area. I prefer single track, but it's more options and a moto day every once in a while is nice. They'll do 'open practice' days - pay the fee and ride till you can't.

There's also JDay's. They only have races though, nothing else. But it's more options on the calendar once you get the basic skills mastered. Their format is a mixture of motocross track and trail.
