Exclamation Killington Classic - This weekend

Come on down, up, or over!!

I'm leading a sportbike tour on saturday.. hopefully with some help from MotoFreak and a few of my local friends.

If anyone wants to come down and if you need a place to crash for the night, i've got more than enough room for you and your bike.

As I was coming home today I saw this parked at the deli - i guess this weekend is going to be interesting!

Come on guys - doesn't anyone want to invade a touring rally with tons of sport bikes??? ....We could totally own the Poker Runs......

Saw a couple of sportbike oriented shops setting up tents - Cycle Wise and Dan Turco & Sons - and expect to see more.

Oh yeah - the parade is not stopping in downtown rut-vegas this year. Instead they are riding through downtown, and going straight to the VT State Fair to see comedian Bill Engvall perform. (Friday)

I want to go, and I planned on going, but my rear tire deteriorated much faster than I expected it to. I don't believe it will make it down there and back. I am going to try to get it replaced tomorrow, but I'm not sure if they will get it back to me in time.

The route depends on who signs up and what kind of ride they want. It could be in the gaps up north, or some of the twisties down here - it really depends on who signs up.

Where are you meeting up and when? I may be able to make it depending on my schedule this week end.

if you plan on taking route 7 instead of the interstate-be watching for johnny law! i went up today for the bike show and decided to take 7 instead of the interstate. got pinched passing a semi i had been following for about 20 miles. right before brandon ,near imperial motors? used car dealership with the car up on the pole. clocked 71 -written ticket for 60 in a 50. guy was super cool considering i told his my registration was up in june-and he didnt write me up for it or have the bike towed. he never even looked for an inspection sticker either. wished me luck at the show and sent me on my way. $99 is a small price to pay in the grand scheme of things that could have been. took the same way home and passed at least 15 state cruisers headed south and followed behind one from rutland to middlebury. there are a ton of them out there this weekend so be careful-the guy that gets you may not be as decent as the one who got me!

Re: Killington Classic - This weekend

No one signed up for a sportbike tour (go figure).. so i have the day to just put around.

I went to some different vendor booths to see what is cool in the land of leather and chains (no revolution this year), and come to find out - Cyclewise has a tent set up in the middle of it all - with a few bikes on display. They have a cruiser with 2 tanks of nitrous hooked up, a new white 696, and a used ss800. The guys i talked to were very nice and informed me that Cyclewise is now a Ducati dealer and service center! (fantastic for me because I'm looking to have my 12k done asap!) Also They were handing out coupons for 25% off parts...
