Summer '16 Road trip #1 = North Carolina (+ 'stich review)

My first road trip of the summer kicked off today at 0530. The F6b and I left home headed for Lancaster, PA. Mostly highway, as this was "get some distance day." The bike was flawless, and I fully committed to my new 'stich and Shoei Neotec helmet. Most of the day it was low to mid 80's and things were reasonably comfortable at speed while wearing a t-shirt and jeans under the 'stich. When things slowed down, it got hot very quickly.

The helmet is great, but with the taller windshield, the F6b doesn't flow a lot of air into the cockpit, so it can get toasty.

Gear is always a comfort/safety compromise and today the latter won out.

Tonight I'm headed to the local minor league baseball game and tomorrow I'm off to Roanoke, VA.

Lancaster... my old stomping grounds. some nice roads thru there. But obviously watch out for the horse poop in the middle of the roads and tar snakes!!!
