A bunch of us usually head down there from the D&D on Victory Hwy in N Smithfield. But since a few of us have the day off, or the late afternoon off, we're going to head north to the Lowell Motorcycle Night this evening.

Otherwise, on dry Tuesdays, we roll weekly to Suzy-Qs from the same start point.

I gotta get to one of these this season.

Dumb Q... at what point am I ready for a group ride...? Just when I feel plenty comfortable on my bike in a wide variety of situations? /threadjack

When you feel comfortable on your bike. Group rides aren't designed to see who;s the fastest. They're designed so everyone who attends has fun.

My advice is to just go. Stay at the back of the pack and ride at a pace YOU feel comfortable with. If that happens to be a little slower than the group is riding, don't worry about it. A good group leader will wait at all streets and crossings where you would otherwise lose the group.

That's what I figured. I'm sure there's some more squidly packs out there, and I just didn't want to get involved with that crap. Most of the folks on here aren't too squidly though.

I'll definately join up with the Big Red Squadron sometime this season.

It's pretty much a ODFU clone. Some of the ODFU people broke away because they had issues with ODFU mods. Mostly riders from Western MA and CT.

we ended up not riding out. Only me and one other rider showed. (bunch of pussies)

It was amazing the difference in temp yesterday. In Boston, it was 69 when I left work and I arrived home in Blackstone to 91, with a dewpoint of 75 (heat index of 100)

Dammit... the meeting I had to go out got cancelled or something, I dunno, I rode my bike out to the meeting, didn't see anyone, so I did a loop, still no one. Did a longer loop thinking maybe I got the time wrong... still no one. So then I just went for a quick ride.

Had I known earlier, I probably would have come down.

Jay & I sat there from 6:20 - 7:00 and no one showed. We only saw a couple of bikes pass.

Was that you that I saw on St. Paul St. heading toward RI as I headed home? It was about 7:10ish.
