    Taking my riding skillz to the next level... Anyone interested?

    Hey guys,

    Have you heard of or even been to Freddie Spencer’s High Performance Riding School (http://www.fastfreddie.com/)? It looks pretty sick! There’s a really good blog about this and an 8-part VLOG on YouTube about the 3 day program (search for sfninja). It’s definitely not like MSF and goes into technique like position, apex, trail braking, etc, big time. They even supply brand-new (or close) Honda CBR600RR’s for the students.

    I just put a downpayment on a Ducati SuperBike 848. I’m trying to sell my Monster 695 in the meantime if you know anyone interested. Just needed an upgrade. I blame all of you LOL

    Anyways, I’m seriously considering taking the Sport Rider / Street Rider Level 1 course, but I really don’t feel like going solo. Any of you interested or know anyone would might want to go? I know it’s on the expensive side, but I’ve talked to people on the threads and no one regrets it at all. Sessions are in March and April…

    So there is another akira here?

    I thought I copyrighted the tag, pay up ! ;-)

    Anyway do a Tony's Track Day...
    Have you done the basic track day already?

    Folks there will set you on the straight and narrow
    without alot of extra garbage too...
    Just some straight talk and lots of track time.
    Very newbie friendly and well organized.

    A friend of mine did the Freddie school and loved it. If you have the dough, don't hesitate. I've never done a premium school because I've never had the money. Like these guys said, you can get a whole season of trackdays for the cost of one of those schools... but the expereince will be a little different.

    good feedback, guys. yeah, it makes sense, especially since FS is damn expensive and i'll be left with no $$$ flow... i guess i just want to make sure i get on the track doing the right things instead of learning the "not so right things" and it'll be hard to break that habit unless i learn from the get-go.

    this is the school I was looking at a while ago that offers a lot more options as far as location:
    Superbike School :: Schedule
    I heard they've come to new hampshire in the past, but it doesn't appear to be on the schedule for 2008.

    in all seriousness, your best bet is to take the money you would spend on any of these schools and sign up for a few trackdays at NHMS, which is only about an hour - 1.25 hours from us. trackdays are also instructed, and a few of the instructors are actually regulars on this site. I know penguin has a race school, and I think they have a trackday school as well at NHMS.

    you could probably do ONE trip out to nevada with the organization you were looking at, or you could do trackdays all season up in new hampshire. once you do one, you'll be itching to do more.
