Track Day Audience?

Does anyone ever go to a track day just to watch what is going on?
I would like to sign up for a track day but I'd like to get some decent gear first ie...boots, pants, gloves...

I'd like to pop in on a track day just to see what goes on. You know get familiar with the track lay out, walk through the pits, find where everything is located like registration, restrooms etc...

I'd just like to get to know where everything is and watch the flow before I jump in with both feet. I'd just hate to pay for a track day, drag my but and gear up there only to find out that I came ill prepared.

the other option you didn't mention was cornerworking... you can read about that on his site too.... you go up there & work either a full or 1/2 day & you get money towards a future track day i'd do that, if i could take the day off work & make MORE money cornerworking than work itself
