Okay, hows this, 9am for breffis and we can do a short loop out around the bean and be back around 11 or so to meet the late sleepers.

We are not necessarily late sleepers as much as we are just not local...for me its a 2 hour ride, and Sundays are just not made for rising at 6AM

I am an hour and change away from the bean my self. As long as the weather is not rain in the morning i'll be at the bean 9ish. I don't mind wet roads just don't want wet clothes in 50 degree weather.

Oh and the YANKEES SUCK ........................

Sorry to say it is 10:00 am now and I just got this went to bed a little late last night......actually early this morning what a dope I am. I would try to catch up with you all but I am clueless as to the Bean's location.

Well I got on this thread at about 9:30 and made my best shot to get there by 10. I got to Hollywood at about 10:15, no one there. I decided to take a random ride down rte 6 into CT, and back via Rte 12, 101 and 6 east.

I can't type anymore because my hands are frozen

It was a chilly day for sure but nothing 5 layers of clothing and some hand warmers didn't take care of.
Nice to put some faces with names. Hope all made it home safe after our little back road excursion to avoid the rt 9 traffic.
Too bad we didn't get to do the good stuff out west but the days are short and cooler now, Perfect dirt riding weather though.

Sean, you sure can manuever that Dualy well! Nice riding ! I miss riding with ya! & Either I did not hear you right or you lied to keep me riding slow. I thought you said that bike could only do 65?? I kept the speeds way down so you wouldn't be lagging behind. But when you got in lead position taking us back after lunch you were moving right along!!!! Surprised me!!!

Had a great day, and I accually stayed pretty warm with only a few layers, and my Nice winter HELD Gloves! Mmmm Nice and warm..

Great day with everyone, and no incedents, nobody got lost, only a bad leg crap was a problem with the old guy! Oh yeah and I had the Coolest guy around to ride with in my rear view mirror all day!

Nice ride today guys. Just under 350 miles for me!

And the October chill did not get bad till I was about 1/2 hour from home!

Nice to meet some new people and see some of the cool ones I knew already!!

wow people post up quick when they get home. that was a funny sight with all the chasing. i would have been scratching my head if i saw it. I got to meet the coolest guy and he lived up to his reputation. thanks guys and gal for a great time. look foward to more even if its next season.

Was cool seeing everyone today. The chill from the early start never left me so i left after the Bean meet and only ended up with 121 miles for the day

I think for sure that my next street bike will be more of an adventure tourer rather than the sport bike I have now , something along the lines of a BMW gs or a triumph tiger, ktm 950 adventure, they are super comfy on long trips and obviously the dot knobbies don't affect corner speeds too much. Besides with those big wide bars you have all sorts of leverage to throw the bike around, not to mention the DR only weighs 300+ pounds. Granted I wouldn't be able to keep up with a liter bike in a straight away but what fun is that anyway.Oh and for the record I think I said Leah"s dr200 will only go 65mph, mine is a 650.

I would say that a dual sport is a must for every garage, you can explore trails and bumpy back roads, and still rip it up in the twisties, and they are relatively cheap to own.
